Unsafe roads

The 7 hour promised trip took 14. The roads are awful - all under construction, no proper signs, very unsafe. The night driving coming back was frightening with many unmarked turns and holes. We hadn’t been warn. It was very exhausting and not worthy of our time not money

We booked a tour in English. The tour was bilingual, English and Russian. The main guide provided detailed information about the sights in Russian. For us 3 English-speaking clients there was a young student translating. However the reality was that his English was not very good. He was a nice person keeping us company but not providing much of any information about anything. We were very sorry that the Russian- and English-speaking clients were not treated equally. The day was very long and not so interesting. Most of the time went sitting in the car. After a few hours driving we stopped to see something for 15 minutes. We could not choose the lunch restaurant or the food. Both the restaurant and the food were very basic. There was no wifi in the van as promised. We stayed in Gabala, but I´m very sure the group was not back to Baku by 8 pm. The van started to drive back at about 7.30 pm.
