Guide was poor. His English was not good and he focussed more on the Spanish members of the tour party. We did not get very good explanations and at the end he just disappeared from the bus station without enquiring whether we wanted to visit the brigde in Canga de Onis.
This was a very nice tour to Lagos de Covadonga. It was nice to visit both the lakes and the Basilica. Eva was an excellent tour guide and kept our interest the entire trip. We ended up splitting from the main group while at the lakes to hike a little further, and my wife and I saw some excellent views. I’d highly recommend this tour!
Great historical sites to visit and admire.
Thanks to the guide who was very informative and to the driver who made the ride very safe.
A must visit!

Hi Caroline,
Thank you for your great feedback! We're pleased you enjoyed the historical sites and appreciated the efforts of our guide and driver. It’s wonderful to hear you consider it a must-visit. Hope to see you again soon!
Kindly,

The meeting place was a bit vague and it was not mentioned that this tour was part of another tour - so bus made a 30 minute stop shortly after we got on it for that group to use restroom and get food. Our bus driver and the guide was very good and made the tour enjoyable. The lakes are beautiful - we wished the time there could have been longer.
Spectacular views, unique landscapes, and an adventure to experience once; medium physical demand, not for people with any physical problem.

The day looked very good; as the locals say, "Asturian" weather is like that. We had, already at the lakes and while doing the route, a torrential rain that spoiled the excursion, and the worst part was that the vast majority of us were caught unprepared with means to mitigate that intense rain; result: soaked down to our underwear. If we set aside this weather event, the outing as a whole was good. The guide we had provided us with very detailed knowledge of the surroundings, which was also very interesting; the guide was very capable. The rain affected the timing, and the visit to the Basilica was short and a bit rushed. A note regarding the bus: it would be very convenient to emphasize to visitors and bus users that the seats are not numbered and that, therefore, there is no seat reservation, just a seat. In our case, we had a run-in with a group of Latinos who claimed their seats from us, when the ones we used on the previous trip were already occupied. To avoid this type of conflict, people should know from the information provided that there is no reservation, and it should be emphasized as many times as necessary.

Rosa has been lovely. She has made this first time in Covadonga an unsurpassed experience. What a great professional!
We also went with José, the driver. Our absolute admiration for that handling of the bus on those roads.

It is a very good excursion. The guide is fantastic, first for the information he offers us throughout the tour, which indicates that he has a good level of historical and current knowledge. but secondly he is attentive to all the attendees and concerned about our safety. The driver was also very good.

Excellent excursion, the guide was very thorough.
The path is beautiful, the hike is worth it since the landscape is precise and above all seeing the cows and hearing the sound... wonderful

An experience you cannot miss, Santiago the guide was a professional from start to finish.
We ourselves were traveling with two very young children and he was always attentive; he even advised a passenger who had trouble walking not to push herself and that it was much better not to prioritize forcing herself to keep up with the group's pace.
The truth is that it was very, very good and the driver David was also very good at the controls of that large bus.

Limited time for the visits. We were supposed to be at the lakes for 3 hours and it was only 2 and a half hours, and in Covadonga the visit was scheduled for 1 hour and it was only 40 minutes. In total, the duration did not reach 5 hours; we left Cangas at 10:00 AM and returned at 2:50 PM.
They justify it by saying there were cows on the road, but I think the time lost because of them should not be deducted from the duration of the visits.

Everything very well organized, the guides are perfectly identified, they stand at the pedestrian entrance of the bus station, you have to be very punctual, the bus departures are perfectly scheduled to avoid traffic jams on the road, they do not wait for anyone.

It is essential to wear hiking boots.
Carving a church right into the rock next to the waterfall is crazy.

It is a good adventure, which is very well argued by the guide who accompanied us, the only thing I see is that he did not wait for the people when they got off the bus

Impressive. Great experience. Too bad about the cloudy day and the visibility was limited. The guide César's explanations were wonderful. He is a great guy!!!
100% recommended

Keep in mind that the visit to the lakes includes a short walk to the second lake.

We have booked an English tour, but 90% of the time the guide spoke Spanish. It was not indicated beforehand that you had to make a decent climb to get to the 2nd lake. So is not a handy tip for people who have difficulty walking. Unfortunately few lakes seen, everything was over the moon. Visiting the basilica was very rewarding.

It was not well organized, the guide looking for people, a simple sign would solve it, everything very fast and because of a mishap with a traveler the visit to Covadonga was rushed without many explanations, and also we skipped the visit to Cangas because the people were already hungry, they could offer an option to do it later.

I especially had a very good time, a route that on my own I don't know if I would have done, plus the guide César gave us some interesting details.

It was a spectacular visit. The lakes are located in a beautiful place, the Covadonga basilica is also in a wonderful natural setting. The guide was more than wonderful and the driver in charge of taking us by bus, a true master. Everything is a 10.

Very good. The guide Ernesto was very professional and we didn't have to worry about transportation. The only downside was the visit to the Cave of Covadonga. We had to wait in a long line and we only had 45 minutes. We couldn't visit the Basilica, but of course... in the middle of August... it was to be expected. Overall very good. I would do it again

Everything is very well organized, I thought the guide was excellent, very good explanations, everything very pleasant.

The experience would have been very rewarding if we hadn't felt abandoned by a guide with no empathy for families with small children and people with mobility issues or the elderly, an age she will also reach. A real roadrunner. Poorly explained, very rushed and total abandonment, with a "go that way, you'll get there that way and the bus leaves at such and such a time" you are in for a rough ride. It is a shame that an experience that could have been wonderful was not. Doing it alone without a guide is exactly the same. Thank you

The guide Cristina is wonderful and professional, a 10, and David the driver is a machine, the way he handles the route up and down to the lakes, good tour.

The visit to the lakes is simply spectacular, with a very professional, friendly and experienced guide. The visit to the sanctuary is quite disappointing but the way the visit to the santina is organized at the sanctuary, the excursion company is not responsible at all. Also, to finish, he gave us a small guided tour of Cangas de Onís.

Very comfortable and complete. You visit the lakes, the cave, and the basilica. The timing is well adjusted. Interesting.

The guide was very pleasant, and the explanations were very good.
The bus should have the air conditioning on; it was too hot.
