We offer food experiences in local homes, not a professional cooking class in a cooking studio. Learn to cook in a home kitchen and share a meal with your local hosts over laughter and conversation.
Your host has a pet cat, but if you have allergies, she is happy to arrange for her cat to stay at a friend’s home during your experience. She will also do her best to ensure the apartment is thoroughly cleaned and free of cat hair in advance. However, please note that the space may not be entirely allergen-free.

Our time with Alexia was a highlight of our trip to Annecy! I have done food experiences in many places on my travels, but this was unlike any other. Shopping in the market with Alexia was so fun and I learned a lot! We spent the day discussing food, experiencing Alexia’s creative and exceptionally healthy dishes, and just enjoying such an authentic experience. I HIGHLY recommend this…you will not regret it!

Wonderful evening in chef Alexia’s home talking while she cooked a delicious meal for us. The food was healthy, seasonal, fresh, and absolutely delicious and all from local farms and markets. We had a wonderful time cooking, dining, and talking.

I had a lovely day with Alexia. We went to the market and picked up all the produce we needed, then walked to her apartment where she demonstrated her cookery skills. Alexia is very committed to natural foods and uses a lot of seeds, grains, spices and organic ingredients. We had a delicious lunch and a good chat. At the market Alexia introduced me to her preferred suppliers. She also gave me recommendations for restaurants and other shops. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with her.

Alexia is such a talented chef and is such a warm and kind person! She made us feel so welcome in her home, we felt like we were visiting with a friend! She showed us around the market and we took all of the local produce and fish to her apartment kitchen where we listened to her methods and watched her prepare an absolutely delicious and healthy meal. Our market tour, cooking class & dinner with chef Alexia was a wonderful experience from start to finish. As we wandered the market she explained how to find foods of local provenance & shared her cooking experiences. The class was held in her lovely home, a short walk from the market. Our dinner experience was composed of five courses and all made from scratch - real food, and everything was delicious. We would definitely recommend this activity for those interested in food, ulture & learning about the French way of life.

This private tour with Alexia was so wonderful and we would 100% recommend. We stayed in Annecy a few weeks ago and it was a great way to fully experience the market when visiting. She took great care in choosing fresh ingredients that are sold by local retailers and every course she served was just incredible and tasty. It was wonderful to head back to Alexia's apartment for long chats over lunch. At the market, you could see Alexia’s love for food as it inspired the dishes she cooked. It’s hard to choose favourites but I have to mention the incredibly fresh new potatoes that were served with cheese and salad and also the plum cake! Thank you Alexia for such a great experience.

The private market tour with Alexia was easily the highlight of our trip. When we arrived at the farmers market, she had an idea of a few different recipes that she was planning to make with us. All of her recipes were healthy, had lots of vegetables, and supported the idea of sustainable farming by using local and fresh ingredients. All of the food was delicious. Our favorite was probably the stuffed zucchini. Alexia was a delight to talk to and she gave us great restaurant recommendations for Annecy and even Nice (where we were headed after Annecy). I could not recommend this enough if you want and authentic French cooking experience.
