Absolutely incredible experience. So much knowledge , so much learning and all the important spots were covered + some more. Amended my tour to remove one of the spots and replace it with a visit to the small original museum and was fantastic. I ummmed and ahhhed about a tour but thank god I did book it. Can’t thank you enough for the great experience and will be recommending you to all I know.

Briggite is a native to this part of the Somme and gives a very informed and descriptive accounting of one of the most prolific battles in the history of the Commonwealth. She focuses specifically on the participation of the Australian sectors of the battlefield and gave an in-depth accounting that made it worth making the reservation. Great job!

Fantastic make sure you set aside the "whole day". I learned so much from this experience, thankyou so much Brigett, this tour had it all. I was enlightened, saddened, uplifted and one very proud Aussie. If you have ever wanted to see the western front this is an absolute must see.

Our guide was amazing and full of knowledge. Sadly I cannot say the same for Viator as a change of hotel for us to Mercure was acknowledged to us by them but not told to our guide. As a result she was left waiting outside the wrong hotel for 45 minutes before I called her.

It was a very indepth look at the WW1 battlefields. I got to visit one of my two Great Great Uncles who were born in Western Australia and went to fight in France but never made it back home.

Brigitte our guide was exceptional. Our tour took in the memorials and cemeteries of those who perished during the battles in the Somme area.
The tour provides an understanding of the impact of these battles at the time and ongoing for both the French people of the region and the Allies.
Sir John Monash Centre, a stunning building details the Australians trials during the battles and is a must visit.

We had an action packed day learning so much about the Australian’s role in France during the First World War. Brigitte went above and beyond to make this experience relevant for us. We had two Great Uncles that died during the war and she researched and found information out we weren’t aware of. She also took us to the cemetery our Uncle was buried at which was a little off the original tour. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to know more about the war, Brigitte was a book of knowledge. Fantastic emotional day.

This is a must do visit for any Australian interested in our history or had a relative that served during WW1. Brigitte collected us from the train station and took us for a visit to the magnificent Amiens Cathedral. During the day we visited Villers Bretonneux, The Sir John Monash Centre, Pozieres, Hamel and the Somme Valley. After a long day, our guide returned us to Amiens train station for our return to Paris. We could not recommend Brigitte more highly for her knowledge, friendliness and passion for the subject

The guide is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the battlefields but was able to explain the Aussie contribution deeply and with so much information! I had a family member who I had pre-written to Brigitte about, and she had done her homework and was able to add details to my family history. Forever grateful. Was very kind to me with suggestions for my time further north in Flanders Fields, Belgium.

This was really enlightening. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Our guide was very good and really know the history of the Australian forces in France during WWI and their legacy. I learnt some things from her. Her attention to details was extraordinary, down to messaging me beforehand to find out if I had any relatives that fought there so she could research and be prepared.

I really enjoyed the tour with Brigitte. Brigitte is a mine of information and welcomed all questions and enquiries. The bigger picture of the different battles was described and then focus was brought back down to the level of the human beings who experienced it all. Brigitte was very helpful and helped dig up some extra information on my own relative who served. I would recommend the tour to everyone!

Brigitte was fantastic. Her in depth knowledge of the area and amazing stories made this full day tour one not to miss. Although the Monash centre was closed, our day was full of relevant and thought provoking stops. Our lunch at a local bar was tasty, and Fred was a great host. I would definitely recommend this tour.

From the moment we were picked up at our accommodation by our guide Brigitte we knew that we were in for a most amazing day. Brigitte made us feel like we were old friends upon meeting us.
Whilst driving to the Cathedral of Amiens she outlined what our itinerary for the day would be.
The highlight for me was the Sir John Monash Centre where I could have spent all day. The interactive displays were fantastic and gave a brilliant insight to what the soldiers felt and endured during the war.
Brigitte is a brilliant and well researched guide who answered any and all questions we had regarding the Australian battles in the Somme. I could not recommend her more highly as she is exceptional guide.
