Rania, our guide, and Hani, our driver picked us up from hotel. Took us to all the major sightseeing spots. Rania, as an Egyptologist, gave us great introduction about what we saw and what we should know. And she encouraged us to ask questions. We felt we learned a lot about the country as well as the city of Alexandria!

Shaimaa was a great host and extremely knowledgeable. This tour is well organized, and accommodating to the travelers (i.e. when one traveler was in need of a coffee fix, Shaimaa made it happen). We were not rushed in any location, Shaimaa gave us a lot of information, but then let us go at our own pace.

Aala and her driver picked us up in our hotel lobby and took us on a 6-hour tour including the Catacombs, the Amphitheater, and the Library. We learned so much about each site we visited, as well as the neighborhoods we drove through, the city as a whole, and Egypt as a whole. My 20-year-old son and I were enthralled the entire time!

Rasha came early for the pick up. We visited all the historical sites as listed in Viator. The advantage is she also gave us tips on where to eat and shop, as well as provide info on the buildings we pass by. It was a lovely day. Would recommend this tour to first time visitors to Alexandria. Her husband runs a 3 hour food tour. Will try this the next time.

Even though the guide did everything possible, not worth the price as it doesn't include anything and excluding the castle, not much to see in the destinations. This advertisement is misleading. They have marked many destinations optional without explaining what that means. When you read it, it means up to the traveller, but they may ask you to choose. This is definitely not full day tour, at most half day. The library is closed during the weekends (Friday, Saturday) and they don't mention this and allow bookings on those days.

Hello there, we strive to satisfy our guests & you can tell that from the reviews. The guide delivered the tour in full & took you everywhere listed. We did not mislead you. As for the library being off fridays, this is not our fault & we have already mentioned this in the itinearay. You cannot blame us for that. Apart from that, you saw everything listed.
Using the word misleading is unfair here.
You complain about something that WAS NOT our fault!!!!
The fort was not excluded at all. You chose not to visit because it was crowded on weekends, which again is not our fault.
Your tour covered every highlight in Alexandria. This review is not a Thank you at all for all the effort made from our part.
How come you say that you did't see anything!! Wasn't the catacombs plus other highlights PLACES that YOU visited!!!
Your tour lasted for 5 hours from pickup to dropoff, which is AGAIN as LISTED!
Alexandria has many other spots to visit apart from the library. We work daily, our working schedule & tours have nothing to do with the library opening & closing hours. I hope i made myself clear!!

What a great day! It was action packed and very flexible. Russia and Ackmed were great. I lost track of how many places we visited. The new library of Alexandria was so impressive it almost made me cry; the builders of the original Library of Alexandria would be proud. The church and mosque we saw were just amazing.

The old Roman city was fascinating to see.
The personal one on one tour made it easy to ask questions. We are able to easily work around the larger tour groups, not get slowed down.

Great overview tour - you see all the highlights in one day! There is a great deal of walking up and down long staircases and you top it off with a 100+ step trek at the catacombs - but all worth it. The traffic situation is your bonus as it is a true adventure!

We were a little nervous about traveling in Alexandria, but we had an excellent driver that managed that insane traffic and a tour guide that was very knowledgeable and took us to see many sights. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the spelling of her name but believe it was Nahaila. The tour itself was amazing but it is very scary when so many are carrying rifles and wearing bulletproof vests everywhere you go. We were on a cruise and chose this over the cruise tour and really had an excellent time. Small group private tour is the way to go.

The biggest problem we had was the Viator changed the time to 8 am to start and it was as was advertised at 9 am. The guide was a bit soft spoken and difficult to hear. They had to stop to buy water for some of our participants. The sites were good.

We were very clear about the instructions on pickup that day & also the tour start time, which is already clearly stated in the tour voucher. As for bringing water for the elderly clients that were among the group, that was a must actually, the least we could offer them on a hot tour day. The guide was happy to help everyone in the group & was also keen on not leaving anybody behind. We work hard to satisfy our clients

What an amazing day! We were with Rasha who toured us around the city of Alexandria and Ahmed who was our driver. We went to everything listed and they were both kind enough to stop at various places that we asked. Would recommend this to anyone of my family and friends

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very kind. We are older, and the weather was extremely hot. Our guide and driver showed us much of the city and its attractions while also considering our comfort and ability to withstand the heat. We highly recommend this tour, guide and driver for a great overview of Alexandria.

Shaimaa picked us up from the port and took us to all the interesting sights in Alexandria. It was a busy day filled with a lot of great information and history about Alexandria. Shaimaa was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our day with her. Our driver was great as well. He kept us safe in the crazy traffic and was right on top of our drop-offs and pick-ups at each location.

Great experience with our guide and driver. WAY better than a shore excursion with our cruise. We were able to stop at places we wanted and our guide was very fun and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company and used them in 2016 as well. We used them in Istanbul and in Ephesus.

Rasha is a very good guide. She customized our tour to our specifications and we spent the amount of time at each site that was comfortable for us. She is very knowledgable about Egyptian history, archeology and culture which was our main interest. Rasha also arranged lunch for us at a very picturesque restaurant. She respected our limitations since I had injured my foot before the tour.

Rasha and Karim (driver) provided a very good tour of highlights of Alexandria. Karim has a wonderful sense of humor and with Rasha they were a good team. Karim would drop us off close to the sites and waited for us while Rasha walked with us to explain what we were seeing. Rasha was knowledgeable about the history of the sites and answered or questions.

Very unhappy with the service. The guide was not explaining properly or giving enough details. She used every opportunity to save her effort in showing around and I was left alone twice in 2 places without her. The driver expressed indirectly how it is uncomfortable for him to recieve guests from outside Egypt and he was super tensed while driving. It is such an unfortunate, because both have the talent and the knowledge to do a better job, but I guess they both lost passion and interst long time ago. The best thing about this trip was the car as it was super clean and the A/C as it was very strong.
It is such a shame to feel like a moving target for pulling as much money as possible out of you without much in exchange. I totally felt exploited. I've been using viator since 2014, and this is my 1st unsatisfactory experience.

Our company has reported this review many times both through tripadvisor & viator to avoid such fake ones from misleading others.
our team of professional tour guides never failed to satisfy their clients & do their best to help all visitors from around the world enjoy their experience. Our team of guides & people behind the business have also been using the tripadvisor ( viator) for years now & never failed their expectations or criterias..
we are very unhappy with the way clients disrespect & minimize the efforts done by our team. We have been welcoming guests from all around the world, who have been all the way happy & satisfied with our experience. Again, we are very unsatisfied with fake, biased reviews.
Also, we as a team think that this review has nothing to do with what happened during the day. By getting back to our team, we knew that the tour lasted longer than expected & already started late than already set in the itinerary & both guide & driver were ok on that. You left the car unclean & used the driver's personal belongings in the car like an umberalla & others without excusing as if it is your guaranteed right. Reviwing your tour is something & reviewing your guide's & driver's personality is something else. We take this for an unprofessional biased review that has nothing to do with touring the city & seeing the sights and fullfilling your itinerary in full as agreed & in return for what you paid for. Unlike claiming that you did not get a service in return to your money. Your words are contradicting each other.
And finally, i do reassure that this is an unprofessional comment from your side & a disrespect to the service & right tour given to you....
Travelers come to Egypt to enjoy their time & be nice to others, not to make problems & harm other's feeling & minimize their efforts.
Also, the guest did not have a Visa Card to pay for entry fees to places, since Cash is not accepted there like elsewhere in the world. So the guide, used his personal visa card throughout the day to help the Arab guest & her daughter visit places & save time. Despite the fact, that she ( the guest) could have simply booked online the different tickets forthe sights visited entering her Card number, which i assume she knows it by heart, like everybody else.
So the guide & driver went beyond their expected roles just to make the experience easy & fun for the guest, not to ruin it.
After all this is our business & we would definitely take high care about everything regarding it. You also claimed that the driver indirectly expressed not welcoming guests outside Egypt. How come! Why then are we using tripadvisor ( viator) if we don't welcome international guests!!!!
Mutual respect is something that both tour suppliers & travelers are looking for & ill-mannered guests who don't respect other people's behaviours & hard-work are not welcome.
We hope we got our point clear enough for travelers around the globe.

We toured “backwards” avoiding all crowds from the cruise ships; we were able to have the historic sites basically to ourselves. Karim was very knowledgeable and showed us not only the most visited sites but also the city itself and the people who live in Alexandria. We really got a feel for this ancient, vibrant city.

I left a longer more detailed review on TripAdvisor but, I booked on viator so I guess that's why they're asking me to leave one here.
It was a wonderful tour. It takes you to everything you want to see in Alexandria. My guides Rasha and Karim were excellent and genuinely cared that we had a great time and enjoyed the tour.
The only downfall for us was the library is closed on Friday, and we had to leave early Saturday morning. So, we didn't get to see TripAdvisor's number one recommended attraction in Alexandria and I feel I need to go back to specifically to see it. What really stung is we were there four days before the tour and could have went on our own had we known. So if you're doing this tour on a Friday, be sure to see the library on your own a different day. Especially if you're leaving Saturday morning lol!
