Itinerary

Get an early start when your guide meets you at your hotel in Agra for a pre-dawn pick-up.

Drive for about 1.5 hours to reach the Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur. Tour the sanctuary to observe a variety of bird life, such as the open-bill and painted stork, egret, cranes, cormorants, grey heron, rosy pelicans, and the rare Siberian crane. You can take a rickshaw ride through the sanctuary to look for the birds in comfort.

Afterwards, head to a local restaurant for a buffet lunch (at your own expense.) Then make the drive to Fatehpur Sikri, a well-preserved walled city that dates to the late 16th century. Featuring a number of elegant buildings, the fortified city was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar only to be abandoned after just 14 years.

Return to Agra in the late afternoon and have time to go shopping for handicrafts such as marble and leather goods. Afterward, your tour ends with drop-off at your Agra hotel or railway station.
