We had a fantastic time on this tour! Taking the tour on our second day in Accra was an excellent way to orient ourselves to the city. Our guide, Clinton, was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, entertaining, and attentive. As a group of four women traveling in Accra, we felt safe and well cared for throughout the trip.
The only minor downside was that, since it was a Sunday, Makola Market was closed. However, we did get to drive through it, which was a good alternative given how overwhelming it can be on a busy market day. Additionally, we couldn’t visit the Dubois Centre as it was closed, but Clinton went above and beyond to find great alternatives for us.
Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Accra, especially in the first few days of their trip!

Great day out, very informative and friendly. Clinton and driver were very engaging and helped with our bartering at the market. It was a full day with lots to see and the additional lectures with the museum guides. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and ended it with dinner on the beach

We had a jam-packed but very enjoyable day seeing all the highlights of Accra. Clinton was a very knowledgeable and accommodating host. Vague details on timing allows for flexibility if there’s something you want to skip or spend additional time browsing the markets. Worry-free experience with transport and admissions handled, with lots of great photos. Really enjoyed closing out the day relaxing and people-watching at the beach.

Although we were not able to visit all the places on our tour ( it was Sunday and places were closed) The national museum of Ghana was remarkable, the staff was so knowledgeable
and kind. Our guide Clinton was wonderful. We so enjoyed our day. I would so recommend this adventure.

Our tour guide Alex, showed us around the Accra area.The overall tour was very informative, we learned about various Ghanaian figures and what makes Ghana the country that it is now. I enjoyed the W.E.B. DuBois Center as well as the Museum of Ghana. We had the the opportunity to interact with locals at Makola market, where we had the opportunity to purchase various items from locals. We visited Jamestown as well and ended our tour at Labadi beach where we relaxed. There was so much to see in Accra for just one day. Alex was very knowledgeable of the area.

The tour guide was helpful and offered useful tips around living in Accra.
However, the stops should on the advert were not followed/ completed and I had to walk quite a distance in the sun.

The Kwame Tours group hosted another outstanding tour! Within the day, we visited the highlights of Accra, Ghana. Some of the historic and important sights Included were W.E.B. DuBois Center, Independance Square, National Museum of Ghana, Makola Market, James Town Fishing Harbor, and Labadi Pleasure Beach. Kwame of the Kwame Tour supplied a timely, private tour, with an air-conditioned vehicle for transport to each attraction. He was very knowledgeable and personable . . . a perfect Customer Service experience. Highly recommended tour and tour group!

I had a great time with Kwame who was very punctual and easy to communicate with. Due to some closures on the day I had picked, he made sure I was able to do those visits on the next day. I did the tour alone and was able to ask all the questions I had on my mind. Kwame is professional, well organized, always willing to help and always respectful. I’ve booked many solo tours on viator in the past where transportation was provided. Even if the tour was for just one person, they would still provide a car. The description is deceptive. This tour would have you take ubers from place to place in small cars with no AC. You’ll loose a lot of time as most drivers will keep cancelling the requests. We got to independence square and had to wait almost 20 minutes while the guide was bargaining prices with local cabs. Getting Ubers in Ghana is not the easiest thing and drivers are not reliable. If i knew this tour wouldn’t provide transportation, i would have not booked it. If you are not going to provide transportation for small groups and instead rely on ubers, then this should be in the description.
After I flagged this, tour operator asked me if this was about the tour not including a vehicle with AC. It’s not about the cars not having AC, it’s about the description on viator selling the fact that they are providing a certain type of transportation which is not the case. As a foreigner, if i’m booking a tour, that’s because i don’t want to deal with having to wait for ubers. I could have done that myself. It’s also about the security of being in a compagny car. They were many occasions were ubers were cancelling and we had to wait long times until we got a ride. This is just not professional and i’ve never had such a bad experience.
The tour guide himself is friendly but he is quite new to this job, according to what he told me. He specifically mentioned starting this job not too long ago but the tour operator claimed he has been working with him for years. There is clearly a lack of honesty here. I had to open up wikipedia to read about places which i could have done by myself and defeats the purpose of this tour. I found that this tour relies on taking you to places like museums where guides are already provided. For the rest of the trip, you’ll have to do your own research and you’re basically on your own.
After I expressed my concerns, the operator simply suggested "do something with you in Accra if there is anything interesting that you would like i am free". After such a bad experience and only 1 day left in Accra, I don't know why I'd want to risk going with this company again. After that, he just stopped replying. Save your money, time and energy.

Please keep in mind that there is often significant congestion and heavy traffic in Accra West, where most of our tours take place. Using services like Uber, Yango, or local air-conditioned taxis can make navigation easier. We aim to avoid being stuck in traffic for hours since our tours typically run for 4 to 6 hours. If we rely solely on private cars, both the guide and driver could end up in traffic jams with no parking available.
While our approach has worked well for 99% of our customers, I regret that it did not meet your expectations.
