- Children aged 7-18 are entitled to a reduced entry fee (see tour and ticket pricing) and must provide proof of age.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
- Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked start time. Tickets are time sensitive and we cannot accomodate late arrivals.
- Important: St. Peter's Basilica is not included in all tour options. If you wish to visit the Basilica as part of your experience, please ensure you select a tour where it is explicitly listed as included.
- Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.
- Please include all names as they appear on your passports when booking. Tickets are non-transferable and if the names on your booking do not match your ID you may be denied access and will not be due a refund. Any name changes must be communicated at least 72 hours in advance.
- Please bring official ID with you (or a photo/photocopy).
- Important: The ‘Basilica Only’ option it does NOT include access to the Vatican Museums.
- Important: From January 12 to March 31, 2026, conservation work will be carried out on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment (Giudizio Universale). The Sistine Chapel will remain open to visitors; however, the fresco will be temporarily not visible due to scaffolding. We thank you for your understanding during this important preservation project.

This tour was great and the guide was so fun and engaging. I wish I remembered his name. He was so good with the kids and getting us in the right place even with so many people around. There is no other way to see but with a guide. Next time, I may spring for a small group or private. We didn’t have too many maybe 15.
Laura, our fabulous guide is an art historian, full of details, friendly and and insightful. We could spend an entire day with her. Oh, and the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and Basilica are everything one could expect them to be.
Amazing experience, the skip the line was definitely worth it! Our tour guide Assunta was AMAZING! Super knowledgeable, funny, charismatic, and she did a great job moving other people out of the way so we could take the best pictures, and see everything at close range! She was AWESOME!
Lorena was an exceptional tour guide. She must be an art historian- so knowledgeable and passionate about the Vatican art. She also provided historical perspectives to the Vatican which enriched the tour. Overall an outstanding tour - request Lorena as your guide!!!- highly recommend!!
Saw so much. Skipping the line was the best thing to do. Glad we did. We did the early access small group tour. Our tour guide, Assunta, was awesome. She had so much knowledge and cared about our small group.
This tour was run by the subcontractor EcoArt, and when we discovered a problem with our booking, we were left completely on our own. The tour is titled "Skip the Line: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel Tour & St. Peter's," but when we arrived, we learned it did not include a visit to St. Peter's. This was a huge disappointment.
When I raised the issue with the check-in staff, he was condescending and placed the blame on me. I then called the EcoArt office and received the same dismissive treatment. No one offered support, no one offered a solution, and I was left to deal with the situation by myself. What should have been a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime excursion left us frustrated and let down.
When I asked EcoArt whether this happens often, they hesitated, but admitted that it does when I pressed them. It's unfortunate that they know about this issue and still leave travelers disappointed without any help.
I suggest that EcoArt and Viator title the tour to reflect exactly what customers are purchasing, so this doesn't happen to future travelers.
As a seasoned world traveler, I will not book with them again, there are many other option available.
After we took this tour, we went and booked a separate tour/same day (not with Viator) of St. Peters, because in the end we booked this tour specifically for St Peters. We paid double due to the poor resolution and customer service from EcoArt.
We greatly enjoyed our group tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Communication from the tour company was great and meeting up was easy. Our tour guide Ahmed was incredibly knowledgable and did a great job navigating us through a very packed space.

We did a small 10-person tour with Ricardo as our guide. He was excellent not only in the depth of his knowledge but his energy to get us into great viewing positions of some of the sculptures and artwork, among the crowds. My husband and I really enjoyed his tour.
The Vatican has an overwhelming amount of things to see, and his highlights made the visit much more memorable, interesting and meaningful.

I am a big fan of Viator (loved the tour we took with them in Mexico City), but this tour fell short. The guide was terrific. She was extremely knowledgeable with lots of great anecdotes and information. Unfortunately, a few members of the tour had trouble walking. The guide had to spend so much time with them and we ran so behind schedule (the guide was late for her next tour), we had to tour the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica without her (and her knowledge!). We were so bummed.

Small group of 10 was wonderful to be able to listen and ask questions and interact with our very knowledgeable tour guide , Lorena. She was so passionate giving perspective and education about “ Mike” ( Michelangelo) . The way she wove together time and historical context and inter relationships of the people shaping the creation of the Sistine Chapel was simply wonderful. Despite extreme crowding, our guide Danielle V made sure our group got the full experience. He attended to the group to ensure we stayed together and paid attention to each person’s needs. He was so knowledgeable that I feel like I had a semester of art history, even though I am not at all educated in that area. He showed a deep appreciation for the history of Rome and the Vatican, and incredible knowledge of the art and artists. I couldn’t help but get pulled in, even though I am not Christian or Italian ☺️

Seemed long. The English speaking guide had a heavy accent so it was hard to understand at times. Plus the guides monologue seemed to drag on at times.

Daniel (the 5th 😊) did a wonderful job guiding us thru the vatican, sistine and St Peters. He was very knowledgeable and shared many historical facts and stories. The small group was truly small. Only 11people which was perfect. The crowds were extremely large on Saturday October 3.

The guided tour follows a scheduled itinerary within a fixed timeframe, so the guide needs to maintain a certain pace to cover the main highlights. We nevertheless appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration.
Our map took us to the wrong
Meeting place. We were told by the team that the steps had the same address and we were using the wrong map. We were frantically trying to communicate with the EPIC art team and barely made it in time. I think your app should offer better directions. I think you should add landmarks (like “meet at the steps look for our team with bright green T-shirts”). We really enjoyed the information provided by our tour guide. She was awesome!

The meeting point is Via Tunisi 4, at the bottom of the steps, where our team is clearly recognizable by their bright green EcoArt clothing and flag. The location can also be easily found using Google Maps.
Nevertheless, we appreciate your suggestion regarding additional landmarks and clearer directions, and we will certainly take it into consideration.

We were really enjoying this tour. Extremely crowded as to be expected. The problem was when the tour guide said ok when your done in the basilica meet at the marble columns. Okay…….. we never found her anywhere. So our guided tour ended there. We wandered around and eventually left. Guide needs to be dressed either loudly or waving a colorful flag in that massive crowd.

We would also like to clarify that the guided portion of your tour concluded in the Sistine Chapel. Access to St. Peter’s Basilica was an additional passage with the group, rather than a continuation of the guided tour inside the Basilica.
