Viva Frankie!!! Viva Pompeii!!

Pompeii is an amazing experience, which could get 5 stars by itself. What made it a brilliant experience was our guide, Frankie. We were a group of friends, 3 couples, and we could have gone round by ourselves, seen much but learned little. We could have gone round with another guide and learned much. But Frankie made walking round Pompei an experience. He gave many facts but didn’t drown us in detail; he was entertaining but didn’t try to be the ‘star’; but best of all, although he must have done the tour a thousand times, he made it seem that he valued us as people, not just punters, and just gave us a full tour that will live long in the memory. His catchphrase, “Follow Frankie”, that told us he was moving on, is one that everyone who is thinking of booking would do well to follow. As for the rest, we had a large taxi that picked us up from Salerno and took us to and from Pompeii, which made the whole experience feel real value for money. And the email stream before the trip kept us totally involved and up to date.

Great experience

The meeting point was excellent and easy to find. The guide that we met at Pompei (Caralina) was very knowledgeable and having a guide was well worth it considering how vast Pompei is. The only thing that we found that may be worth mentioning is because there were so many tours, some of which were quite large ours included maid it difficult to hear our guide at times or see the areas that she was talking about if you were at the back of the group. Apart from that it was a great experience.

Salvatore was a great guide who met right at the port entrance upon getting off of the ship. Although we had 3 other guests join us for a total of 8 people, it still felt like a small private tour where he gave us options on where we could get out of the van for scenic views and picture spots. This was the first...

This was the first excursion we booked for our honeymoon and we are so happy we did! The whole day was amazing and we felt so lucky to have Norris and Delilah, they were awesome and SO knowledgeable. We had the best guided with Julia and Norris. Julia was so friendly and informative sharing stories and history along our boat ride. We enjoyed two stops and it was very easy to find them at the end of the visit. Appreciated the tips of places to check out and of course the swim was fantastic. Roads on the bus ride are typical Italian coast, a bit winding up and down through the towns; but enjoyed the multiple stops and the free time in each. Driver Francesco handled it flawlessly and guide Rosy was very personable, informative and easy to understand.

Fun experience!

Beautiful day on the water, crew was very knowledgeable and prioritized safety and comfort. We swam first after seeing a few of the popular sights from the boat and then spent time on the island. We were back in Sorrento by 3pm. I could’ve done more time on the boat because it was such a beautiful day, wish you’d get the option to stay on rather than fight the crowds on land.
