Fun and Informative over Cobblestone Streets

Bruges, Guided Retro Biketour Worried at first about riding bicycles on cobblestones but it turned out to be fine. The tricky part was avoiding pedestrian tourists, but our tour leader Eveline was a great navigator and historian. This 2 ½ hour bike tour went through the town and all the way around the canal boundaries of this beautiful city. Eveline, with her charm, city geography and historical knowledge, provided interesting facts to our multi-lingual small group. While I can’t remember all of our visits, I had a great time seeing the city and learning factoids like the underground pipeline from the brewery to the Half Moon restaurant. After the bike ride, our small group enjoyed beers or soft drinks in her quiet garden. Highly recommended, even for hesitant bicycle riders.

Being picked up from the hotel by Viktor was great, and being driven around made it so much easier to appreciate the sights while he told us about Belgium. Local Bruges guide Jay was awesome. He managed to pack in so much and listened to what we wanted to see & do, and he clearly loves Bruges (and knows everyone there). Viktor even used some extra time we had to visit the Atomium which was amazing!

This was a great experience. The guide was super friendly and super knowledgable. We stopped at a fair amount of spots and really got a nice selection of Bruges food. The highlights for me were the Waffles and the Chocolates. The brewery stops were great too, but I drink a lot of beer so I had already hit those up lol. The guide also dropped some great info during our walk about the neighborhoods and the other points of interest we passed as we walked. I would definitely recommend this tour and my whole party agreed.

Amazing Historical Tour of Bruge

Peter Vanslambrouck was an amazing tour guide on our walking tour through Bruges. He really had the humor and expertise to explain the history and all the monuments of this amazing city. He was very exciting and entertaining throughout the tour. He took us through the square, historical district, museums, and the Belfort. The chocolate tasting portion of the tour was very nice and tasty. It was a nice added layer to the tour. Finally the tour ended on the canal with a nice boat ride through Bruge. Overall I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to explore the history, culture, and canals of Bruge.

Our host had interesting stories about the beer we sampled and explained the different types of waffles. This class was recommended to us by friends who had lived in the Netherlands and taken the class before.

We had an excellent time...

We had an excellent time on our tour. The instructions were very clear on where and what time to meet. Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. This was one of our favorite days on our trip. Its such a beautiful area and the canal cruise was so picturesque. You have to eat a delicious Belgium waffle during your free time and taste some chocolate in the many different chocolate shops. There is a great variety of cute shops scattered throughout the town. Don't miss out on this excellent excursion.

Such a fun time! Elliott...

Such a fun time! Elliott led our class. We had a short intro about different types of waffles and then learned how to make the Brussel Belgium waffles. Each group of 2 or 3 got to make their own batch of batter, cook them and eat them. Many of toppings were provided to please the entire group. Elliott was very helpful and friendly. We had a great time!

Our guide Dimitra Maragkaki was absolutely amazing, very prompt starting from the day before the tour, during the whole tour including the bus ride and walking tour. She was very helpful full of information, very knowledgeable and friendly and considerate. She was constantly looking for our safety, make sure the slower walker is always catching up. The chocolate workshop was amazing! We made delicious chocolates (filled and flat), enjoyed hot chocolate and learned about some history and some chocolate making technique. Sasha was a wonderful host and the chocolates were delicious. The place was well air conditioned, though there are steps to get in and a flight of steps to get upstairs, which may be difficult for some folks. Additionally, the workshop involved a lot of standing. We had a great time, but some folks may want to call about being downstairs for the class if the stairs are an issue.

Fantastic foodie walking tour

Our guide was awesome - so informative, relaxed and funny. I wish I could recall her name! The food was delicious and there was a LOT of it with quite a variety of all the local specialties: Flemish beef stew, fries, croquettes, chocolate, and of course locally brewed beer. Yum! Would highly recommend.
