Don’t miss this experience!

Absolutely delightful people and a beautiful experience of learning how small farms produce lemons and olives and the foods made from them. We laughed and learned and met other travelers who also appeared impressed, curious, delighted and amused. This is an experience not to miss. And the foods we sampled (an entire meal - home/farm cooked) were delicious!! Definitely add this to your list of things to do in or near Sorrento!

Rainy day but our magical guide Max made it work. Great tour!

Our tour guide (Max) was fantastic! His English was better than most native English speakers, he has a great sense of humor, and he helped us navigate and pivot plans because it was POURING rain in both Positano and Amalfi. I think the tour would be better with just two stops - do either Positano/Amalfi or Positano/Ravello - but I understand people want to cram as much in as possible.

Unfortunately it rained for us the entire day. However I do want to say our driver and our tour guide Michelin were excellent. There is no way you can navigate these narrow windy roads even if you are an excellent driver and not to mention the parking situation. Our trip was really short so this allowed for us to see the coast in half a day.

Informative but not overwhelming. We decided to do a small group tour because there is so much to see, our guide Benedicto, was great, he found the quieter spots to show us and areas of interest away from the larger groups. It was well worth doing and we returned independently to explore other areas of the site with great understanding.

Unforgettable experience

I was super worried about this trip after reading some of the reviews, and the weather forecast not looking great. However, this trip and the weather turned out to be an unforgettable experience. First I want to start with our guide, Anna and our captain, Luca. They were such a great pairing. Anna brought a ton of energy and knowledge and Luca captained a perfect trip, including navigating a pretty impressive wake from a much larger ferry/cruise boat flawlessly. The free drinks and snacks are more than enough for the time spent on the boat. And I’ve seen reviews about the lunch not being good. To each their own, but we thought it was fantastic. We went straight to the Blue Grotto to see that it was closed due to high tide. Those that are disappointed by this and think it’s included are wrong. It clearly states it’s an extra add on. And in my opinion, I wouldn’t want to waste any time in line for it anyways. Luca took us around to several different caves and areas with water so beautiful, you’d have to see to believe. We then went to dock at Capri Marina after touring around the whole island. I would drop a pin or take a picture of the dock area if you’re directionally challenged for when you return it’ll be MUCH busier than when you first get off. What others are saying is true, it is best to bring extra Euros on this trip to pay for the shuttle service. It is a bit chaotic but there are workers at the bus stops to help with any questions. It also beats waiting for a taxi. The line for a taxi in Anacapri was at least 50 people deep around noon. Pay the extra money, you’ll be thankful you did. They took us straight to Anacapri, I would suggest dropping a pin to remember the location when you’re ready to go back. I would also suggest going straight to the chair lift if that’s something you want to do. After a quick bathroom break, we still waited about 30 minutes which would’ve been much less if we used the bathroom on the boat. Lesson learned. The chair lift is another 15 Euro per person round trip but totally worth it. Amazing views from the top and if you’re not interested in shopping, they have a take away bar and a restaurant on top. Overall we had 3.5 hours o. The island and spent all of it in Anacapri. Capri is where all the high dollar fashion stores are at. If that’s what you’re interested in, then just take a shuttle down there after the chair lift or shopping a bit. The shuttle will take you from Anacapri to Capri. Then we didn’t have to get off to join another bus to take back down to the marina, but beware, you may need to. They run every 5 minutes or so. After we all made it back on the boat, which they graciously waited out in the marina for about 5-10 extra minutes for one last couple to get back to the dock before pulling up and letting us back on. On our way back we stopped at a beautiful swimming area. If you don’t want to swim, you can also dip your feet into the sea. It’s so refreshing! Then another stop with a small waterfall and one more where you may get lucky to see some cliff divers in action! And yes, they drop you off in a different location but Luca clearly told us that and the shuttle bus driver was there waiting to pick us up to bring us back to our meeting point. If you’re on the fence about this trip, do it! And I hope you get Anna and Luca. They are a great team!

Your guide was also our driver. Lino was awesome! He was on time, informative and had a great personality. He drove the very tight, winding road expertly. He was not rushed and even stayed longer than the set tour hours because we wanted to spend a little more time sightseeing. I would highly recommend the tour and our tour guide! Grazie, Lino!

Excellent historical tour

An excellent overall tour. Starting early was a great choice as we beat many of the crowds as our guide told us there are about 15,000 people that visit every day. We did the full day excursion but unfortunately because of the extreme rainy weather Mount V was closed. Instead we could choose to take a train back to Sorrento or visit the Herculaneum ruins. We decided to stay and very happy we did. Both excursions were fantastic. LouLou our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, had a good sense of humour and genuinely cared for everyone in the group. We highly recommend this tour.

Spectacular!

This was one of the highlights of our vacation! We enjoyed this tour so much. It was exactly as described. Rafael was such a fantastic host. He was funny, helpful and so nice.
