Pick-up is free and included if in Ponta Delgada city or Nearby cities (Lagoa and Ribaira Grande) - extra fees may apllie to other Locations. We will Pick up at the cruse Ship Termial. We will be at 9 AM (other pick-up time can be set) ready for pick-up at the pier inside the Terminal on the ground level in front of the arrival gate with the Lead traveler name on a sign. Also If for any reason the ship docks at the commercial dock, will be at the Pier in front of the ship with the lead traveler name on a sign. (Please do not take any shuttle).

- Also, we would like to warn you the last row on the 4x4 vehicle is a bit difficult to get in too and the knees will be a bit high during the trip , It will not be a problem for the teenagers ,agile or smaller people, but they are the least comfortable seats, and the vehicle will be at its max.

Marcio was a wonderful driver, full of interesting and fun information. We were very lucky with the weather, so we could go all the way to the top of Pico da Barrosa. What a view! The 4x4 jeep was definitely needed! Then Marcio took us to the Caldeira Velha hot spring, and had a wonderful dip in it. Finally, we got to see the Gorreana Tea Plantation. It was magical!
Marcio met us punctually at the cruise terminal and drove us to pre-agreed-upon sights. The tour was only 4 hours, but we got to see a little bit of this beautiful island. Marcio was willing to drop us off at the Jardim Botanico Jose do Canto, so we could explore the botanical garden and then slowly make our way back to the cruise ship by walking through Ponta Delgada.
Sao Miguel is such a lovely island! We hope to be back one day.

What a trip! Half day tour with our knowledgeable, outstanding, tour guide, Luis, was so amazing! He showed us so many view points along the way! Excursions outcomes are mostly dependent on our guide, where they take us, what they say about the place, and Luis totally delivered. I highly recommend their company!

Delfim was awesome! We had such an informative off the ‘Cruise Ship bus path’ tour! Delfim is truly patient about the Azores and educating visitors. We had fog and everything was timed perfectly to run the ridge to see the lakes and even stopped for a local lunch. Would do it again!

This was our first visit to the Azores as part of a trans-Atlantic repositioning cruise and we were here for 8 hours (7:30 am to 3:30 pm.). We were greeted by Luish with a sign with our name almost immediately upon exiting the ship and quickly loaded into a very comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser to allow remote road capabilities. He provided a brief outlay of the area and recommended Sete Cidades as the primary location to get a flavor of Sao Miguel and the volcanic formations making up the islands. As we drove up the eastern rim of the crater he provided a history of the island, it’s colonization and we had several stops (frequently just us rather than a large bus load of people) to explore the aqueduct remnants, trails and woodlands. We reached a series of overlooks (the King’s and Queen’s overlooks) of the Blue/Green lakes with views changing frequently as a result of winds and fog which only added to the mystique of the island. His vehicle was capable of accessing roads limited essentially to ATV and 4x4 vehicles with incredible views of pastures and small rural homes. We had a brief coffee stop in the village below and then departed with several stops along the way back to Ponta Delgada. We had time to explore the city and he dropped us (at our request) at the end of our 4 hour tour in the city center with it’s historic church with our newly gained knowledge of the history of the Lord Holy Christ of the Miracles (with religious celebrations upcoming in May.). This was a great way to explore our brief stop and would HIGHLY recommend this tour group.

Fantastic jeep tour with a friendly, extremely knowledgable guide named Gonsalvo (sp?) who went out of his way to show us everything he could. He was an expert at taking pictures of our group of 4, spoke good English, and had a fun sense of humor.
To top it all off, he aided helped us make a reservation for dinner at an out-of-the-way place he recommended, which turned out to be another great adventure.

My family took several tours while we were on Sao Miguel, and this one was absolutely our favorite. We visited the Furnas region, including the tea plantation, the lagoa, and the town itself. Our guide, Telmo, was exceptional—personable, knowledgeable, and funny. My two teenagers were fully engaged for the entire tour, and we could not believe the depth of Telmo’s knowledge on every subject, from agriculture, to history, to geology, and cultural traditions. We learned so much! Thank you, T4W, for an amazing introduction to Furnas and its surroundings.

Our guide was Miguel and he was perfect! We were picked up in a very clean, well maintained Toyota Land Cruiser and he gave us an overview of our excursion. We set off and had a thrilling adventure! He showed us all the highlights of the west end of the island and answered all our questions. He was informative and kind! He shared personal stories and legends of the island. We are a family of 4, with 2 girls ages 12 and 15. This tour was perfect for our family! Thanks Miguel for an unforgettable experience.

What a great tour. Pints del gala was more than we expected. It’s a beautiful island and we got to see the crater from all around as well as around the lake below. The views from the rim were breathtaking. Our guide was a lifelong native and knew the history and answered all our questions. He was the best tour guide on our trip.

Margarita was amazing. When we met up with her, we chose together the best tour for the day based on our desires and the weather. She was informative, helpful, and fascinating. We saw so much and learned so much. She gave us some time to walk on a beautiful trail along the lake, and crammed so much into our limited time together at just the right pace. Delfin from T4W in Sao Miguel Azores took us in a 4x4 where tour buses can't go. He listened to our interests and gave us the tour of a lifetime. Delfin took us to a family owned buffet serving all local foods and joined us for lunch. Outstanding!
He shared with us not only the history of this beautiful island, but educated us on some foods growing wild in the hills which we got to sample for ourselves.
