Top Ponta Delgada Day Trips

The buggy ride was really fun and we ended up seeing several amazing view points even though we couldn’t see the blue and green lakes from the viewpoints as there was too much fog. We did get to ride around them on a trail and it was beautiful. The guide was really good and patient with the group. It was an amazing experience.

Our guide, Henrique, did an excellent job driving and he gave detailed information and insight into where we were going and what we were seeing. He is very smart, kind and considerate and has a wonderful sense of humor. He clearly went beyond expectations by offering assistance with our future departure.

Carlos was very kind, knowledgeable, caring and flexible. He picked us up at the cruise ship dock on time and toured us all around at our pace. He explained the historic and significant spots of interest and answered all of our questions. When we needed to stop for a restroom and lunch he gave us our choice of options. Carlos is the man! And the Azores are just amazing! Lastly he got us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time.

Wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Bruno, was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the areas and quite entertaining! We saw some incredible sites. I would recommend choosing one specific ‘area’ focus. Otherwise lots of driving time. No fault of their part.

We had Tiago as our host for this tour. We had a little bit of a delay in the start as Viator had given Tiago the wrong pickup but Tiago quickly messaged and remedied the problem. We were then off for a great 5 hour tour and had a wonderful time. Tiago was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of facts about the Azores and the history. We were able to see everything that was on the tour and spent a good amount of time in the Thermal Baths. Great Job Tiago.

Wonderful tour! Marco was very engaging and made sure we had a great day, despite the uncooperative weather. He shifted the itinerary as the day went on to give us the best sights and stops. The box lunch was delicious local bread and cheese. We had booked the 3 hour tour, and at the end, he offered for us to continue on, which we happily did. You won’t go wrong with this tour!

We arrived via cruise, and he was already waiting inside the terminal holding a sign with my name, which made the pickup seamless and stress-free. He adjusted the itinerary on the fly to avoid the fog and take us to the best viewpoints, which made a huge difference. It never felt rushed, and it was clear he cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a more personalized and memorable tour.

Pur time with Luis was wonderful. He took us to beautiful areas on the island. Some of the areas needed a 4x4, so it was great to have those available. He asked us what we wanted to see and customized the day to us. He has a great knowledge of the island, not only places to visit but also the history. He was fun and pleasant. We would highly recommend Luis.
