The location was changed at the last minute with a different service provider. I was unaware of this and ended up going into Notre Dame on my own and paying for another entrance fee.

This review is misleading and does not accurately reflect what happened. Due to temporary construction works in the area, the meeting point was moved only a short distance nearby. This change was communicated several hours in advance by message and phone calls. We attempted to contact you more than 7 times before and shortly after the tour start time, but none of the calls or messages received any response.
No effort was made to contact us back or locate the group despite the information provided. We also want to clarify an important factual error in your review: entry to Notre-Dame is completely free and does not require any entrance fee. Our tour does not involve paid admission to Notre-Dame.
The issue was not caused by the meeting point adjustment, but by the complete lack of communication and non-attendance despite repeated attempts to reach you.

Diana was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable about the interior and exterior of Notre Dame and was able to show us all the restoration projects that had been completed after the fire. Our original meeting time was 10 am and we were moved up to 9 due to crowds. This was the best suggestion we could have gotten, as we walked right in at 9 but would have stood over an hour in line had we gone at 10.

Definitely not a good tour when there is a service going on inside. Could not hear tour guide and we were limited on where we could go.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re truly sorry that your visit coincided with a Mass taking place inside the cathedral. Our tours are carefully scheduled to avoid service times whenever possible, but on rare occasions, an exceptional Mass may be held unexpectedly. Unfortunately, sound and access inside cathedrals are beyond our control — and church speakers can indeed be quite powerful! Our tour guide, Diana, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Notre Dame, the artistic and architectural detail as well as the circumstances of the 2019 fire and the subsequent renovation. I highly recommend taking the time for this informative guided tour.
