Ozzie is an excellent tour guide. I loved the focus on the culture of Munich, pointing out some key landmarks so you can go back and explore further. Having a beer hanging on a lanyard around my neck and drinking whilst walking, was a grwat and unque Munich experience.

You delivered a ton of information in such an engaging way! Wish it was longer! Thank you so very much!

Great introduction to city center for first time visitors. Provides lots of history, good to know rules for walking and establishment closing times. Even popped into a local meat market for a sandwich and beer to go!! Aussie was very knowledgeable and interactive with our group. Fun time!!

The guide showed up late, the “better than thou” demeanour obvious from the very start. This became more apparent as the tour went on, it was all about Oz and how much his tour is better than another other you’d find on the planet. This walking tour has you stand in place for the first 75min, however you might move 50 metres. I quickly lost interest with all the rambling. I didn’t learn much about the places in Munich, it was more of a propaganda spiel about how great Bavaria is and the world wouldn’t be anything without it. Questions were ignored, with the response being “I’ll tell you what you need to know when the time is right”. It was a tour to show you all the places he has status and the people he knows. I hope he’s the exception to the culture of Bavarian people.
As a heads up, the tour is more like 4.5hrs.

This is the perfect first tour of Munich. Olaf showed us how to navigate around along with teaching us about what we are looking at with context. We learned a lot of history too. So glad we started with his tour first. Highly recommend.
Lori_C, May 2026
The tour guide was very personal and knowledgeable. He gave very detailed information on the history of Munich.

I have been to a lot of city walking tours, this one to me is a mistake for me. The tour guide is a talkative and enthusiastic, a nice friendly dude. But the tour is totally losing scope. Don’t book it if you aim to learn about the buildings the statues like a real walking tour. Too much tedious stuff that has almost nothing to do with the historical buildings, while the important stuff are all skipped.

Our tour guide knows his stuff very well, learned a lot from him about the history, culture, people and customs of Munich, and Germany as a country. Well organized, interactive, smooth walking tour, enjoyed very very much ! Thank you Viator !

Fantastic tour with an outstanding tour guide. Aussie was extremely knowledgeable and really sought to share his wisdom with all the participants.

Great tour guide knew so much history
He had a local connection to the area
Which made it very interesting
Britni_C, May 2026
Ozzie was awesome! From start to finish, he gave so much Munich, Bavaria and German information. It was nice to do a tour not fully focused on WWII, but other histories of the area. We stopped at a great meat shop for a little snack and beer as well. Ozzie really does a great job and it shows with how great the tour is! Highly recommend this tour!

This was a fantastic tour & Oz was so great. You will learn so much about Munich & Bavaria and there place in the world & Germany in the past and today. We really felt it went much deeper than your average walking tour. Oz has a real love for his city & you can tell how much he enjoys sharing it & teaching people about it. We enjoyed the snack stop for a sausage & beer, a perfect break. We had a different tour the next day & many of them had also been on Oz's tour the day before, we all kept talking about how good it was & how he ruins you for other tours.

Ozzie is one of the best tour guides we have ever enjoyed. He is very friendly and provides a tour with excellent education and entertainment. He did a great job explaining the history and importance of Bavaria and its importance for Germany. His tour is an easy walk with lots of stops as Ozzie shares the city and answers questions. We give this tour our highest recommendation.

Izzy was an excellent tour guide. The tour lasted over 4 hours and he imparted so much knowledge including history, culture, laws and how to behave in Bavaria. We saw many of the sights and tried the local beer and sausage sandwich.
Jasmine_H, May 2026
Extremely informative tour from a local! It is a lot of information to digest, a lot of Bavarian culture and history. You’ll never get another tour like it for sure.
Thomas_T, Apr 2026
Ozzy was our tour guide and having traveled extensively and having taken several international tours, I must say this ranks as one of the very best. Entertaining, surprising, engaging, educative… all of these factor into this experience. The personality of the tour guide and the personality of the city complemented each other perfectly! I would recommend this tour and tour guide 100%

Steve_G, Apr 2026
It’s not what you expect, in a good way, the tour is an eclectic wander through history and facts, it’s very entertaining.
teresa_w, Apr 2026
Oz (which I don‘t know if the spelling is correct or not. Or, it should be Aus?) is our tour guide and he is one of the best guides I have ever followed for city tours. He speaks English fluently, very knowledgable, eager to share and made the whole visit so fun and enjoyable. The market visit and the sauage and beer during the tour added extra colour to the tour.
Maria_B, Apr 2026
An amazing few hours with Otto who was brilliant and so different in style to any other guide we have had. He gives lots of information but also makes you think and the way he presents the tour is so unique. We learnt so much and saw so much in a few hours a great start to our holiday 😀.

One of the best city tours I’ve been on. Great guided tour by a local with extensive knowledge and a creative way to teach the history and culture of München. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dan_M, Apr 2026
Our guide did more than show us the sights in Munich. His knowledge of Munich and Bavarian history and past and current culture was excellent which helped us understand why Munich is the way it is today.
HENSON_G, Apr 2026
Very educational and well rounded tour. Tour didnt feel rushed at all. Tour guide call us by our names.
SMN_S, Apr 2026
Ozi was a great guide. Extremely knowledgeable . Was there on time. Did more than what he was supposed to be doing. Vvvvvv informative. Good humour. Knew how to get the group talking. Love it. Top class
Meg_H, Apr 2026
Our guide , Ozzy, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Munich! He even dressed the part! Walked the old town of Munich and toured many of the landmarks!
Laura_B, Apr 2026
I had such a fantastic experience on this walking tour! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history and stories of the area to life in a way that felt fun and easy to follow.
The pace was perfect, with plenty of opportunities to take in the sights, ask questions, and snap photos. I especially appreciated the little details and local insights that you wouldn’t get exploring on your own.
It’s clear a lot of thought and care goes into creating this experience. I’d highly recommend this walking tour to anyone looking to explore the area in a memorable and meaningful way. I’d absolutely do it again! Please bear in mind the tour was 4 hours long though not 3 hours according to Viator which is who I booked with.
Gavin_R, Apr 2026
It was unique thanks to an exceptional guide.
We did the tour with a group of around 20. The guide had a unique background and knew the history and many fascinating details. He shared things about himself that made the experience special. Really special.
