What are people saying about Tokyo

Imperial Palace
Christian was a knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. He provided us with the history of Japan’s ruling classes and their rise to power. He was able to answer all of our questions and promoted our thinking and piqued our curiosity. I am so glad that we used a guide to see the gardens, they are beautiful, but carry so much history that we would not have understood without a guide. Highly recommend this tour and hope you’ll be lucky and get Christian as your guide.

Great digestible tour
Well worth it! Nana was a fantastic guide. We learned a lot about the history of the temple and shrine and some of the religious practices, but it didn’t feel like information overload. She also provided us with some great recommendations for food spots while showing us around the surrounding area.

Food aplenty!
Make sure you're very hungry before you start! We had a broad variety of delicious dishes, from amazing sashimi to dumplings and sea grapes, all in interesting locales.
Our guide was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. And we quickly made friends with the others in our six-strong group. It's an excellent small-group activity.

We had such a wonderful...
We had such a wonderful experience on our food tour with Jasmine K.! 🇯🇵✨ She taught us so much about Japanese culture, history, food, and local traditions while taking us to explore different restaurants and try a variety of dishes.
I especially appreciated how she shared recommendations for places to shop, introduced us to different Japanese snacks and foods, and explained the stories and history behind the places we visited. She made the experience both fun and educational, and I loved being able to step outside my comfort zone and try raw fish for the first time!
Jasmine was such a great guide, and I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to meet her and learn from her. If you’re visiting Japan and want to experience the culture through its food, I would absolutely recommend this tour. Thank you, Jasmine, for such a memorable experience! 💕🍣

Like touring with a a friend!
I got to learn many things about the city, the culture, the food, and places to visit. I saw old buildings, trees, temples and shrines and new skyscrapers with advertising screens on the side. Our guide, Emir, was so knowledgeable and personable that it was like touring with a friend.

Wondeful Tour
There were about 30 people total who booked the 9 AM tour but we were split into smaller groups each managed by its own guide. So the ratio was ~8-10 people per 1 guide. This was really great since you could always hear the guide (in my case, Ichiro) and nobody got lost along the way. I passed by tours with other companies who had 20+ people and 1 guide. I'd recommend the 8 or 9 AM tour if possible, just because it was much less crowded. There were noticeably more crowds at 10:30 when we left compared to when we arrived.
Ichiro was a wonderful guide. He answered everyone's spontaneous questions as we progressed in the tour and was very knowledgeable about the various sites. It was nice to be brought to the key places at such a large park and Ichiro was able to provide culture knowledge beyond the written placard which made everything more meaningful.
TLDR - You can walk the gardens on your own for free - there are placards along the way in English & Japanese. By choosing this tour, you have someone adding context and guiding you in a logical flow through the various points of interest. I found these additions worth the $15 it cost me.

A Walk around Shinjuku.
Firstly, our guide Taro is exceptional. He is friendly, knowledgeable, insightful, chatty and with just my husband and I on the tour he proved to be great company as well. It was like being out with a friend for the afternoon. This is a great tour for first time or repeat visitors. You will see parts of Shinjuku you could never find on your own. You will see places you wish to return to and others, perhaps not. I highly recommend this tour for being both highly informative and mildly eyebrow raising.

Great Tokyo night and food tasting.
Loved this tour. We met up at night to enjoy the various food and sites of Tokyo. Tokyo is beautiful at night seeing all of the buildings lit up. Shaboya crossing and even the red light district. Really enjoyed our guide. I’m sorry I forgot to write my review back in April so I’ve forgotten her name. But she was great. Very attentive and included us all in the fun and education of the district and food.

Electric bike:A fun and safe way to get around Tokyo
This bike tour is the best way to see Tokyo up close and personal. Ninja was the perfect guide to share experiences, history, and safety. He explained everything in detail, with a dose of humor and kindness. A knowledgeable guide is essential to a great experience. The bikes were easy to use with no gear changes and easy to balance and seat on. Ninja was perfect to guide us through the busy streets of Tokyo. He took great precaution to steer us through and I felt very safe. We had a special treat of seeing the emperor as he returned to his home. I loved the attention to detail and I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore.

Great class and instructors!
Out instructor was Ken and his assistant was Suzie. They were personable, knowledgeable, and made the class fun and entertaining. We left feeling like we could try again and practice with the steps given. We highly recommend this experience! Hoi hoi hoi!

Must-do tour!
I love having a guide for historical sites as you never know what kind of details you are missing when you are exploring on your own. Our guide Paloma was fantastic and taught my family and I local customs and history while on our tour. I would highly recommend!

Perfect Amount of Cultural & Historical Info - Recommend Shopping for Souvenirs Here
This was a lovely little tour of the temple and Akira was very kind and respectful, and provided just the right amount of cultural and historical context without going too deep into details. He was able to answer all of our questions to our satisfaction, and we enjoyed his sense of humor. He also kindly pointed out nearby restaurants where we could enjoy a vegan meal. Note: this is a great place to get your souvenir shopping done. We wished we had spent more time shopping for authentic Japanese items in this area - since we only visited a few neighborhoods on our Tokyo trip, and Asakusa had by far the best shopping with the most variety.
