Best birthday experience
Absolutely loved this! Do not hesitate to book your Samurai training. Very professional, we were dressed in authentic Samurai outfits. They took numerous quality photos and include them on card. Sen sei Jiro was very helpful and gave us very good instruction but most importantly we had a blast!! It truly was the most fun, lots of laughs and memories made.

A fantastic introduction to sake with Tadashi!
This small group sake tasting was fantastic. A great introduction to sake including production, process and sampling of many different types. We learned what we liked - where to buy and got great local recommendations from our host, Tadashi. He was informative, enthusiastic and entertaining and we throughly enjoyed the experience. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tokyo wishing to learn about and enjoy sake! Arigato, Tadashi!

A must to do.
This is a must if you’re in Tokyo. Way more fun and information than expected. Everyone one who wanted to challenge the wrestlers got to at two different points.
The English was great and easy to understand. They were. very approachable. And great with young children.
Little notes to go along with it bring a fork if that’s all you’re used to eating with and you need a phone to order drinks.
To enter, do not go up the stairs it’s around the side.

Highlight of our Tokyo trip!!!
My partner and I did this on our last night in Tokyo and it was truly the highlight of our trip. Yoshi was extremely attentive, entertaining and also doing the most to get great shots of us with beautiful sights behind us whilst in karts (Tokyo sky tree). Highly recommend !!! Felt like VIPs and so much fun zooming around the streets.

Like touring with a a friend!
I got to learn many things about the city, the culture, the food, and places to visit. I saw old buildings, trees, temples and shrines and new skyscrapers with advertising screens on the side. Our guide, Emir, was so knowledgeable and personable that it was like touring with a friend.

Lots of fun!
A very enjoyable experience! Our teens were all smiles the whole time. We really enjoyed the insights into what ninjas actually were and what their purpose was, and the reasons behind the skills that we got to try. Also the interactive nature of it was perfect for the family.

A different experience
If you’re thinking about taking a rickshaw tour in Asakusa, ask for Diego. We had such a brilliant experience with him from start to finish.
He was so friendly and easy to chat to that it felt like we were exploring the area with a local friend rather than being on a tour. His English was excellent, which made it easy to ask questions, and he shared some really interesting stories and insights about Asakusa that we would never have discovered on our own.
He also took some fantastic photographs for us along the way. He knew all the best spots and made sure we came away with memories we’ll genuinely treasure, not just the usual quick holiday snaps.
The tour was relaxed, fun and full of little details that made us appreciate the area even more. Diego has a great personality and genuinely enjoys meeting people, which really comes across.
One of our favourite moments was teaching him the Irish word “craic”. Hopefully he’s adding it to every tour now because he definitely brought plenty of it himself!
Thank you, Diego, for making our visit so memorable. You’re a credit to the team and we’ll be recommending you to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Great mochi memories, and knowledge we’ll take home!
We had a wonderful time with Kiyoko! My teens and I love mochi, and this class was such a fun and memorable experience! We loved learning about mochi’s history and its role in Japanese holidays, and it was super fun and exciting to make several different kinds, including many we had never seen in the U.S. we got to take great pics for the memory book and will def try doing a mochi making party for our friends when we get home! Kiyoko even showed us what ingredients to buy and where we could get them. Highly recommend!

Exceeded expectations. Well run.
It really exceeded my expectations. The sword training was fun but not silly. Plenty of time for photos. Our instructor Kenny was super nice and knowledgeable. Our class had 10 people. My teenagers and i enjoyed the sword fighting (1 hr) as well as the cultural museum tour afterward (1hr). The tour had about 20 people. The tour ended with a shiraken throwing contest for the entire group. My wife did the tour only but she was allowed to watch our sword training.

Authentic and Calming Tea Ceremony
One of my favorite experiences of a recent trip to Tokyo. The tea ceremony was authentic and performed with reverence and respect. I learned so much about the history and meaning of Chado and Japanese culture. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in the peaceful, meditative practice of tea. And I loved the concept of "this time is the only time," cherishing a specific moment that cannot be repeated.

Make a wonderful lunch for yourself!
Small group, great instructors, great menu. We each prepared our own meal. We leaned techniques in Japanese cooking cuisine ,about the ingredients they use. I fell in love with Japanese cuisine and intend to practice it at home. We were not hungry but we ate it all. In the following days bought the egg pan , cooking tools and a lot of spices.

A highlight of our Japan trip — don’t hesitate to book
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We absolutely loved YUCa’s cooking class and it may well end up being our favourite experience from our entire Japan trip.
Yuca’s studio kitchen is beautifully set up — intimate, welcoming and clearly designed with love. Our class of six felt just the right size, and Yuca and her husband were both incredibly warm, hospitable and knowledgeable. The ramen and gyoza we made were genuinely delicious, and we left feeling confident enough to recreate them at home.
We were travelling with our nine month old son and Yuca was wonderfully welcoming of him from the moment we arrived. She was happy for us to bring his pram up the stairs so he could sit comfortably during the class, and she even made him his own little onigiri for lunch — such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that completely melted our hearts.
It’s about an hour from Shinjuku but don’t let that put you off — it is absolutely worth every minute of the commute. And when you arrive, Yuca provides a sheet of local recommendations for sightseeing, cultural experiences and food nearby, which is such a thoughtful touch. We followed her suggestions and spent the afternoon at Yanaka Ginza and Ueno Park — a perfect way to round out the day and explore a part of Tokyo most tourists never see.
Don’t hesitate, just book it. The experience, the food, the hospitality and the local knowledge Yuca shares make it exceptional value and a truly memorable way to connect with Japanese culture. Highly, highly recommended! 🍜🥟
