Great afternoon at tea ceremony

Mika was very welcoming and so knowledgeable about the tea ceremony. She has over 20 plus years in the tea ceremony and teaches the course at her school which takes several years to complete. She provided a lot of history and showed us a hands on demonstration of the tea ceremony after showing us a quick video. She let us taste the teas and provided a great introductory course on matcha tea and the various cooking tools used in the process. We got to make our own matcha tea and drank our tea with sweet treats. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thanks Mika!

A really interesting and...

A really interesting and fun class with Yazawa-sensei! She is very knowledgeable and explained a lot of cool things about how and why manga is drawn using particular techniques. There are some basic foundational lessons + applications of body mechanics that make even a complex artwork seem easy! At the end of the lesson, I left with a fantastic drawing souvenir - which turned out far better than I expected - a testament to the excellent teachings of Yazawa-sensei! For me, this was probably my favourite activity in Tokyo! If you are a fan of anime and manga, I'm confident you will feel the same way after a manga drawing lesson!

I enjoyed the Samurai and...

I enjoyed the Samurai and Ninja Musiem. We received a summary of the samurai during the Edo and Meiji periods when shoguns ruled Japan. There were exhibits featuring Samurai equipment and weaponry and Ninja accessories. The museum had an interactive star throwing segment which was safe and so much fun for all of the participants. We enjoyed this tour.

An absolutely unforgettable experience! The Official Street Go-Kart Tour – Shinagawa Shop was easily one of the most exciting and unique things we did in Tokyo. Driving through the actual city streets for an hour was surreal, and seeing Tokyo come alive at night—especially cruising around Tokyo Tower—was nothing short of magical. The tour guides were outstanding—energetic, professional, and made the entire experience feel safe while still being incredibly fun. They provided a clear and thorough safety briefing beforehand, so even first-timers felt confident behind the wheel. The go-karts themselves were surprisingly easy to drive, which made it even more enjoyable. The costumes added a hilarious and memorable twist, and we loved how much fun everyone had with them. One of the best parts? The guide took tons of photos throughout the ride and shared them with us afterward for free—such a great bonus that really helped capture the moment. This is such a fun, high-energy, and totally unique way to explore Tokyo. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or family, this is a must-do experience that you’ll be talking about long after your trip!

Great Sumo Experience - Memories for a Lifetime!

This activity definitely punched above its weight! Initially, we looked into attending a live Sumo match, but unfortunately none of the tournaments were happening while we were in town so booked this as a best alternative after reading the reviews - REALLY glad we did! For those of us who are not really knowledgeable about Sumo, this was a perfect introduction to the sport and its history. We enjoyed hearing directly from the wrestlers about their experiences in and out of the ring, the food they prepared was delicious, and the opportunity to "wrestle" them in the ring was a memory we (and our teenage nephews) never forget!

Mochi magic in Tokyo

What an excellent experience. Yukka was so kind and friendly. Her directions to find the class were very helpful. We learned a bit about mochi history as well as when mochi is traditionally eaten. We watched her make the mochi and then prepared three kinds ourselves. She prepared savory mochi for us. We also tried warabi-mochi with brown sugar syrup. Everything was excellent. 10/10 excellent experience.

Yuca is amazing! First of all, she is super knowledgeable to not only how to cook ramen and gyoza but to places you need to check and recommendations on foods of all sorts. She was really kind and made the class entertaining while she was a lovely host. She provided tea, all the ingredients, the recipes, and shared the history behind ramen and all the ingredients. 100% recommend!

Fun intro to Sake

Really fun experience. Joe was really knowledgeable and such a nice guy. Went very fast so not sure we retained it all but worth getting the basis of sake to use in the future. Definitely eat before as they recommend - we ran out of time and got drunk quickly. Overall really fun!

Fun way to see a busy part of Tokyo!

Super fun way to see some Tokyo Highlights for sure. Our first day in Tokyo after traveling 16 hours the day before and we decided to book a 90 minute ride. Our guide was Masa and he was very knowledgable, high energy and also a great phot taker. He shared some history, cultural stories and walked us through the the protocol and history of the Temples we visited. Tōkyō Go-Karts: a must do

We had a great experience. Our guide spoke excellent English which made things go smoothly. It was an awesome way to experience some of the sights of Tokyo. The guide took plenty of photos for us to share with family and friends. His hospitality was excellent as well. Due to the heat he stopped at a vending machine and purchased (shouted) us a water obviously realising we needed it. Travelling through the streets with traffic was a great experience as was being able to see many of the sights along the way. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone travelling from other countries.
