Great way to do a lot in one day

My adult son and I did the tour. You could do this tour easily using Just public transportation with some careful planning.However, having a private car, pick us up and take us to each spot was really convenient. Our driver was very nice and very safety conscious. Doing both of these in one day was very helpful as we were pressed for time.

Excellent experience

It was such a moving tour of Auschwitz and birkenau. Our guide was phenomenal! We also enjoyed the experience at the salt mines. The Mr Shuttle was a clean, really nice luxury van. The lunch was also very good.

Tiring but well worth it.

It's a long day with lot's of walking. Early rest the day prior or not planning anything major after this tour is advisable. Nevertheless it is worth it. The private car that was used was clean. The driver is polite and speaks very good english. Manages the time well and ensures you are not in a rush.

Just ok, but glad we did it.

The salt mine tour was unique. Glad we did it. The concentration camps seemed very rushed and crowded. The guide had us moving pretty fast to keep ahead of other tours, which meant you didn't have time to read the information on the boards. Probably could have skipped one or two of the buildings that housed shoes, luggage or hair. LOTS of walking - we did 18K steps, so wear comfortable shoes. Would suggest doing two separate tours over two days and spend more time taking in what went on there.
