What are people saying about Siena

Great guide for this beautiful historic city with centuries old traditions.
Leave plenty of time to get to the meeting point and to be on time. Parking appears close, but there were elevators and hills to negotiate which took a lot of time and our phone maps were not working well. The locals finally pointed us in the right direction! Our guide Guilia was wonderful! Super knowledgable, with great information about the history of Siena, the contratos, the world famous Palio racing, the architecture of Siena and the traditions of the Siennese. The tour was just about the right length (2 hours), taking in the Duomo, and the Campo main square (among other sights), and the listening devices worked well. Guilia also made recommendations of other must see places for later in the day.
Would highly recommend Guilia, and the beautiful city of Siena.

Wonderful day trip, lunch and wine tasting
The tour was wonderful, we loved San Gimignano with its amazing towers. We had our own free time to explore all the stops. Our guide Ricardo was excellent. He gave us lots of interesting information on the places we were visiting and made sure we all knew the time and place we were meeting. He guided us through Sienna. The wine tasting was fabulous, we tasted 4 glasses of wine , 2 Spumante. The food was great. This is an 11 hour trip but it was only a little walking. We loved it. Christina helped Ricardo with the tour. It was really good value for money and I highly recommended doing it. Bellissimo!

Informative and Fun
This is a fabulous tour. We requested a guide Giulia for the second time because she is accommodating and adaptable and made the tour of Siena fun, relaxed and informative. She is extremely knowledgeable as we learned about the contrade and especially the famous Palio horse race. I highly recommend this guide and this tour.

If you love wine, food, and Tuscany, DO THIS TOUR!
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Lorenzo was an outstanding guide—enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and entertaining from start to finish. The winery tour was informative without feeling rushed, the wines were excellent, and the food was delicious. To top it off, Lorenzo even helped us arrange a taxi back to Siena at the end of the tour.
One tip: don’t try to walk to the winery. It looks possible on mapping apps, but it’s much farther and more difficult than it appears. You’ll definitely want to take a taxi. Since taxis can be hard to find in Siena, I recommend messaging the winery in advance to see if they can arrange one for you.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We hope to visit again someday!

Tuscan Escapes - San Gimignano and Volterra
Ceco was an amazing guide for the day. The right amount of interesting history and facts delivered with passion and interest, balanced with sufficient time for self-exploration. Comfortable and safe vehicle to travel in. Small group made this souch more enjoyable and accessible. The lunch at Carmela's property was superb and just added to an already great day. Highly recommend Tuscan Escapes for the care they take and the passion they have for the Tuscan region (as evidenced by the high quality of their guides).

Traditional Tuscan Treat
This was the best cooking class I have experienced - based on other experiences in France, China, and the United States. Francesco, who is now the owner, and Julie , who also helped translate from Italian to English, both gave each of us (7 participants) individual attention on techniques, tips along the way, and patiently answered questions in between demonstrations. The food we created from all fresh and local ingredients was delicious and based on traditional local Tuscan cuisine! When any friends and family visit Siena, I will be recommending this experience! And for the reader here, you will enjoy every step of the process!

Tutto benissimo
10/10 would recommend. Keko was a knowledgeable and charismatic tour guide. While we drove through the Tuscan countryside, he provided engaging commentary about the history, the landscape, and the local food traditions of the region. If you want to see the Tuscan country, this is the way to do it.
I particularly enjoyed the lunch at the farm and tasting the local recipes with ingredients made right there. The time in Pienza and Montepulciano flew by. I would definitely take this tour again.

So much fun! The farm was...
So much fun! The farm was a definite highlight -- gorgeous views and incredible snacks to kickstart the day! We loved getting to walk around Pienza, and the wine was incredible (though definitely pricey if you wanted to purchase bottles to ship home). All in all a perfect way to explore Tuscany. We also loved our guide Frederico! The perfect balance of informational and letting us relax without pressure.

Siena Ebike Tour
Giacomo was fantastic as our guide. He was friendly and patient and full of information. We were happy to have him as our guide and you can tell he really loves what he does. The weather was perfect and the winery for lunch and wine tasting was amazing. Thank you Giacomo!

We had a wonderful...
We had a wonderful experience with Roberto. 2 wineries and a lunch at a sheep farm that was marvelous. Local meet and cheeses and we even got to see the sheep. Then a stop in Pienza for some sightseeing and a lovely drive back to our hotel. First class experience.

Excellent wine tour
If you are looking for an all-day wine tour that visits more than one winery this is a great option. The tour stops at three wineries. The first two were my favorite. The second tour included an excellent lunch. Our driver/host was knowledgeable and explained the pyramid of wines and we traveled. He was very courteous and gave the group options on how long we wanted to stay.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Thanks to its prime location in central Tuscany, Siena is an ideal base for exploring the wider region. Siena day trips cover a range of destinations—from the medieval hill towns of San Gimignano and Monteriggioni to the wine capitals of Montepulciano and Montalcino—and save you the hassle of piecing together tricky logistics yourself. Relax with private transport and experience the best of Chianti and the Val d’Orcia, focusing on the villages and castles or sipping your way through the region’s wineries. You can even channel the dolce vita vibe with a classic Vespa or vintage Fiat 500 excursion.
