Yes, Paris fun and games are worth it—if you like to sightsee through a playful lens, you’ll love the array of options available in the City of Light, both guided and self-guided. Whether you’re embarking on a scavenger hunt in Montmartre or the Marais, or piloting an Airbus A320 flight simulator over all 20 arrondissements, you’ll find yourself immersed in the destination in ways that you wouldn’t if just walking around.

Per one customer who booked the Escape Game Inside the Sacré-Coeur, “This was fantastic and totally different than I was anticipating. The game was similar to Da Vinci Code. There were about 20 codes or riddles to solve that got us looking at the Sacre Coeur in a way we wouldn’t have otherwise done. Our guide was knowledgeable and patient, took all the time we needed, and was happy to show us the details. If we didn’t tour with Viator and Max, we wouldn’t have the appreciation for this site that we now have- plus we got great pictures and memories. We give 5 stars, two thumbs up!”

Before booking Paris fun and games, consider whether you want to be indoors in an escape room or using a simulator, or outdoors on a scavenger hunt. You should also weigh the pros and cons of doing an app-based DIY experience versus a guided or hosted experience; if you’d rather not constantly glance down at your smartphone, opt for the latter.

To fully enjoy Paris fun and games, embrace your inner child, and let your competitive side shine. If you’re trying out fun and game experiences with young kids, be sure to pack snacks and water, as most fun and games don’t include refreshments (in this case, brain fuel). And if you’re doing an app-based game, make sure your phone has a decent charge, so it doesn’t die just as you’re about to complete your mission.

Even if you’re short on time, you can find fun Paris activities to fit your schedule. Here are a few of the best Paris fun and games you can enjoy in an hour or less:

• Odéon Quiz Room
• Virtual Room Paris - 1st Virtual Reality Team Experience
