This is a super educational tour. There is a moderate (approximately 2.5 hours) amount of walking which was lovely on a sunny day. The views are worth walking for! If you are interested in art history and Paris history this tour is for you. Georgia is a great guide and shares her wealth of knowledge!

Our Tour Guide Eden was great. Very knowledgeable, funny, and delightful guide for this 2+ hour tour of the Montmartre neighborhood and Sacré-Cœur Basilica. She provided not only a narrative about the history of the neighborhood throughout this walk but also recommendations on places to eat, buy souvenirs, things to do in Paris. And she was the rare tour guide who offered to take pictures at scenic locations without even being asked. Highly recommend her for any tour.

I had a great experience on this Montmartre walking tour with Eden. She met us at the Metro stop near Moulin Rouge and immediately made the tour engaging with some fascinating history about Montmartre, how it became part of Paris, and what the area was like at the time. She also gave great background on the Moulin Rouge and the surrounding district before we started exploring the neighborhood.
One thing I really appreciated was how much art history she incorporated into the tour. Montmartre has such a rich artistic past and Eden did a wonderful job pointing out details and sharing stories about artists who lived and worked there. Seeing filming locations from Amelie was a fun and unexpected bonus. We also learned about Van Gogh, Dalida, and other notable figures connected to the area.
The pace of the tour was excellent. We never felt rushed and Eden was incredibly helpful beyond just the history. She gave us restaurant recommendations and tips on how to spot good places to eat, which honestly helped us throughout the rest of our trip in Paris.
The tour ended at Sacre Coeur which was the perfect finish. I'd absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris, and especially recommend Eden as a guide.

What a wonderful experience! Hugo Kennedy was so knowledgeable and took us off the beaten path. He was attentive to our needs. Since he hold a Masters in history he was able to answer the many questions I had regarding Napoleon and many of the artist that lived in the area. I would highly recommend this tour & Hugo

Hugo was very knowledgeable about the Montmartre area and the history of France. We really appreciated the pace and route he took to climb the hill to the Sacre Coeur. He also provided great recommendations for lunch! We did the 0930 tour with one other couple. It was the perfect start to the day!

Our guide was Hugo Kennedy. My wife and I would highly recommend you ask for him. Hugo is a history major from Ireland. On our current trip in France we’ve had multiple well meaning guides that we spent a good portion of the time trying to figure out what they just said. Hugo had no such French accent on English words (despite living here 10 years). And since he is a history major he was a wealth of knowledge.

Montmartre is such a beautiful area but without a guide you would miss so much. The walk is not terribly strenuous and it reveals a historic area where so many artists flourished. Our three grandchildren, ages 10-14 really learned a lot. As it was late afternoon, our seven year old had no interest in the tour so I brought her back to the air b&b so she wouldn’t ruin it for the others.

This tour included a brief albeit meaningful history beyond what's typically provided by a tour guide. Francois V provided all of the facts (the good, the bad, and the ugly) potentially shifting your beliefs/opinions from what you thought you knew about certain subjects discussed during the tour - what a treat! Francois is passionate about his work as a guide, and you will come away impressed, and a little better informed! Highly recommended.
