What are people saying about Normandy

Absolutely one of the...
Absolutely one of the best things I have done, Our guide Jack was amazing , very knowledgeable and engaging, learnt so much more than I already knew of the D day landings, and a truly special experience to visit the actual sites and soak in what was such an important time in our history.

HonFleur, Trueville, and Deaville Tour
Very nice tour. We had 3 stops Hon Fleur, Trueville, and Deaville. Our tour host, Lawrence was so knowledgeable, and made the tour interesting. The extra Trueville stop was a surprise bonus! Thank you Lawrence for turning a drizzly, gray day into sunshine.

Normandy tour.
Our tour operator, Matt, was one of the best we have ever encountered. He was extremely knowledgeable and was talking to us the entire way. He told a very emotional story about a veteran returning to Omaha Beach for the first time in over 50 years. It was the best part of the tour. We could not have asked for a better tour operator. Loved everything about this tour. Highly, highly recommended.

Our guide was fantastic....
Our guide was fantastic. Even though it was a half day tour we covered so much ground and I never felt rushed anywhere. The built in bathroom breaks were also a plus.
This was a highlight of the trip and one of the main reasons was the guide. He told us he had been doing these tours for 16 years and it showed! He was so knowledgeable on D day invasion and each of the sites we visited. Highly recommend!

The emotion, the gratitude, the beauty of the place, and the respect for the souls who came to offer us freedom.
On a pleasant, sunny, and slightly breezy day, we both visited the American cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach.
Facing these thousands of white crosses, so perfectly aligned that they seem to stretch to the horizon, a thought tightens the heart: behind each one of them, there was a face, a family, plans, a youth barely begun. They were twenty years old, sometimes less, and they came from elsewhere to die on this land so that a country that was not their own could regain its freedom.
A free site that is particularly well-maintained and very pleasant, which leads to emotion and gratitude.
The sea, very close by, makes this thought even more poignant. It is by way of it that they arrived. This sea, peaceful today and shining under the sun, was once the passage toward fear, the crash, and death. Looking at it from the heights of the cemetery, it is difficult not to imagine these young men advancing toward an unknown beach, leaving behind their country, their loved ones, and perhaps all the dreams they would never have the time to live.
And we were there, the two of us, in this immense silence, facing this sea that has become tranquil once again.
Then another thought imposes itself: does our country, so divided today, still fully measure the good fortune that was restored to it?
This freedom for which so many young people from elsewhere sacrificed their lives, we sometimes take for granted. We squander it in our divisions, our quarrels, and our forgetfulness, as if it had always existed and must necessarily survive us.
Before these crosses and this sea, freedom ceases to be a simple word. It becomes a legacy, fragile and precious, received from those who were never able to enjoy it themselves.
And perhaps our primary debt to them is simply this: to never forget what it cost them.
I also want to thank. All the staff who are there. We are in France and all of a sudden we find ourselves in the United States. Pleasant, discreet, and vigilant staff. Perfectly competent.

Outstanding guide and tour experience.
This was an amazing experience that we would thoroughly recommend. Marie was fun, informative and caring. She went out of her way to accommodate everyone. Her knowledge of the war was its history and the many stories was outstanding. They even supplied umbrellas for everyone. I would highly recommend,

Bay walk
Special mention to the "Chemins de la baie". We booked the "In the footsteps of the Marquis of Tombelaine" walk to discover the bay without going to Mont Saint-Michel in the middle of August. A 4-hour walk with a guide, Patrick, who is passionate about ornithology and informs you about the birds of the bay, their migration, and the species that will soon be nesting... He points out the changes in the river courses and lets you discover the mudflats (quicksand, which the children really enjoyed). A memorable afternoon for a reasonable budget (20 euros per person). Thank you, Patrick!

A very interesting afternoon
On this half-day excursion from Bayeux to three of the sites closely associated with D-Day, there was never a dull moment. Irène proved to be a very well-read, helpful, and entertaining driver and tour guide. Due to the simultaneous departures of other providers from the same location, there was a small parking bottleneck in the center of Bayeux. Arriving on time is therefore highly recommended if you are traveling by car in Normandy yourself.

Worth Every Penny!
This half-day tour was absolutely excellent! Our tour guide EMMANUEL was super kind, knowledgeable, and time oriented! We started on time, got back by noon, and still felt like we saw so much! Great tour, worth it! Do the full day if you have the time!

One word -WOW!
This was close to the best part of our trip. We were picked up and dropped off at our ship by Nicolas. Great personality, sense of humor and a history buff. We had the best time and riding on the back of a motorcycle was exciting to say the least. The town of Honfleur was great to visit-charming with plenty to see. The visit to the apple cider farm tasting was delicious and memorable. Highly recommend this adventure.

Nice Way to See Omaha Beach
We did about 20 to 30 miles bike ride from Bayeaux. Our guide Theo was lovely and the ride back along the cliff is beautiful. We saw things we wouldn’t have found on our own - the castle where the Nazis did their planning for the Atlantic Wall, the hill where the Allies distributed their fuel and bunkers. The visitors center at Omaha Beach was great and we already knew a lot of the information before going in. Recommend for a bit of physical activity and to enjoy the landscape and history.

I joined the Normandy...
I joined the Normandy Beach tour on what was probably the busiest day of the year, but Lucie was an outstanding guide. She skillfully adjusted the schedule throughout the day to avoid crowds at each site and traffic on the roads, making sure we were able to see all the important locations.
I was late starting my museum visit, but Lucie guided me as efficiently as possible so that I could still see almost everything. Her flexibility, quick judgment, and professionalism made the experience smooth and enjoyable despite the heavy crowds.
I would absolutely recommend Lucie as a guide.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Normandy is home to iconic medieval monuments, World War II battle sites, and picturesque beach resorts, but with limited time, it’s best to focus on the highlights. Normandy half-day tours are an ideal choice for time-crunched travelers, but they are also a great way to get to know a city better or enjoy a memorable activity. Inject fun into your trip by opting for a unique transport method, such as a sidecar, WWII-era Jeep, or an e-bike. Combine a sightseeing tour with a cider tasting at a local winery, or join friends for an exciting scavenger hunt.
