Take this tour!

This was a wonderful tour made especially enjoyable by our tour guide Jacob. My husband and I were joined by six women from Massachusetts. Jacob was very informative and patient with people needing extra time. The boat ride was lovely and the cog train up the mountain and the cable car down was great with enough free time on the mountain to catch a lunch and have a little break. We needed to do a little walking but not strenuous unless you are physically not able to walk for 15 - 20 minutes at a time. Beautiful weather, great scenery, and a great guide.

Daniel met us at the pier and guided us through a wonderful day. Our group was 6. Every aspect of the tour was interesting and we had great weather. Views from the lake ferry were beautiful. The cog railway ride was fun. Views from the top of Mount Rigi were fantastic! The gondola ride back down was packed full of people. Never experienced anything quite like that before! The day was something we will always remember!

Amazing Experience

First of all, I read the reviews before I booked this trip and others mentioned using tour guide Pavel. I requested him and I am so glad I did. He went above and beyond to ensure that this trip was amazing..it was a pricey trip as the minimum was for 3 people, but only two of us went. However, I am 61 and my aunt is 75 and this was well worth what we paid. Pavel took such good care of us, stopping at several scenic spots for us to get some amazing pictures. He even took us up to Murren which was not part of the original itinerary and the restaurant he suggested had a splendid view of the mountains and the food was excellent. I would recommend requesting Pavel if you book this trip. Booking through Viator did not disappoint. Bucket list, checked!

While it’s a long day, it’s worth it! The scenery, the views, and the locations are amazing. It may seem like you’re moving along at a quick pace, but then you get to relax at the Top of Europe. Perfect Length Tour

Luna was informative and considerate of our abilities. There is a good amount of walking on cobblestones and going up steps and I'd recommend good shoes. We had climbed the city wall on our own and it was very steep coming down. Luna's way was easier but still had great views. Luna shared great Information about the city's history and the places we'd visit.

Beautiful Views

This was an amazing trip! You do it on your own and at your own pace. Start with a city bus, then a tram, a gondola, a cogwheel train, and a boat trip back to Lucerne. Our group really enjoyed it! Pilatus was beautiful! Tip: go early before the clouds move in and obscure the view. My only complaint was the directions. They needed more precise details on where to get off the bus (the actual stop) and details about the reservation site for the cogwheel train.

The views are breath-taking. It’s like being transported to a fairytale. The whole tour is worth the price. The tour guides were the best! Shout out to Matt, Nilsen and Jimmy. Wear sensible shoes. There is a lot of walking and climbing. Bring a sandwich that you can snack on during the first stop.
