A nice day with Yasha
A great day out. Our driver Yasha was calm, helpful and very informative — he knew a lot about every stop and was happy to answer all our questions along the way. Easy, relaxed company for a full day on the road. The tour itself covers a lot: Uplistsikhe, Gori and the Stalin Museum, Jvari and Svetitskhoveli. Well organised from pickup to drop-off. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Khatuna is so knowledgeable and thoughtful. Despite the weather, we had so much fun! She was ready with raincoats and umbrellas and we braved the rain at each stop with excitement. She had so many cool stories and information about Georgia to share. We enjoyed the day so much. Thank you!

Great tour!
We really enjoyed the day with Aleksi: perfect organisation, great mood, lots of stuff to tell about the places we visited and to all our questions about Georgia, Tbilisi and Georgian everyday life. Thanks again!

Joseph Stalin Museum
  • Travelers looking for an unflinching, objective account of Stalin’s life and actions may struggle with the idealized image often presented at the museum.

  • Tickets to the museum are only available in person, and reservations for the guided tour are unnecessary.

  • There are a selection of restaurants in Gori closer to the fortress if you’re looking for somewhere to get lunch or dinner.

  • The museum, the train carriage and Stalin’s childhood home, are not wheelchair accessible.
