We will travel 20 minutes from Rovaniemi by minivan and take a short walk to reach the lake. The location is our own private place away from the crowds in the middle of the peaceful nature. The main activity is of course fishing itself, but the frozen lake also offers an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos. Once we reach the lake, we will teach you the basics of ice fishing and enjoy a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing. We will also set up a campfire in traditional Lappish Teepee and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and of course fry our catch of the day!

Once there we will walk on the lake to find the ideal place where there is the best chance of catching fish. I will then explain how to make a hole in the ice and how to use the pilkki. Then it's up to you! You will be ready to catch lots of fish! At the end, in a Laavu, the traditional refuge, I will make a fire to be able to grill the makkara, the traditional sausages. There is also an option for vegetarians. I will also serve you a delicious glögi as well as piparri, traditional cookies.
