What are people saying about Finland

It’s a “must do” activity!
It’s absolutely true that a Finnish smoke sauna is a wonderful experience. Mari, our guide, did a fantastic job of explaining history and culture to us throughout our lovely national park hike as well as the sauna and lake experience. Don’t be afraid of the lake! I highly recommend this tour.

Uncle Alex is the best
The animal park is a long way from Roviemei and Alex drove very carefully. That was important because we saw so many reindeer in the road. We had just the right amount of time and this was the first class zoo/wildlife reserve. We couldn’t have been more pleased. He picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the hotel. A very comfortable van. One other Family rode with us.

Best Tour to See Helsinki with Limited Time
Paulo was very responsive to our communications and requests for this tour. He is very knowledgeable of Helsinki and Finnish history. The trip to Porvoo was wonderful and he gave great recommendations for shopping and places to dine during our free time.
The time spent in Helsinki was really worth it also as we got to see other sites that we had not been to prior to his tour. Paulo really goes out of his way to ensure you get the most out if your tour when in Helsinki. Highly recommend that you book an excursion with him or his company as you will not regret it. Absolutely the best day in Finland! All four of us are heaving this city feeling like we really got a great feeling of how life is here in this beautiful city and country.

Fantastic and informative day
Terrific tour for our three-generation trip to Finland! Darius picked us up promptly and his van was roomy (seats 6 passengers comfortably plus room in the trunk for bags). He has a microphone and speaker to make it easy for people in the back to hear him clearly – nice touch, especially for those hard of hearing! The 40-minute trip to Porvoo included his rich history of Finland which provides context for the current Finnish culture, food, religion, and more. This was our third tour, and we learned a lot that was not covered in other tours! Porvoo itself is lovely – a beautiful and typical Finnish town with a rich history. Darius moved comfortably at our pace – 3 generations means we can be very slow on uphills (and there are a few hills here!) – and stops included a coffeehouse with the top-rated Porvoo cake (we also stopped at a second shop for gluten-free goodies), the beautiful and typical church, the standard views of Porvoo, a chocolate/candy shop and more. Highly recommend this tour! Wear good walking shoes (all cobblestones!) and layers for the Finnish weather!

Exceptional Norther Lights Hunt!
Had a fantastic time with Max and Mika last night hunting for the Northern Lights. It was a very clear night and the Auroras were predicted to come out so it was a pretty easy trip. But what I appreciated from Max was he always kept us updated as to what exactly we were doing, how long it would take us to get to his secret spot and when we stopped and reversed, he explained why his secret spot wasn’t too appropriate for us (snow was too thick). Instead we drove a few miles further to a desolate high road with a clear view of the skies and set up camp. Within minutes we saw faint lights which blossomed into huge Auroras that filled the sky and some that were right on top of us. Milka and Max were right there with their cameras constantly offering to take photos (sometimes multiple) to capture the moment. We stayed for over an hour until the lights faded then we headed back with Max and Milka handing out warm apple cider and cookies.
I’ve hunted the Lights in Iceland previously with a little success. A lot of the trip really depends on Mother Nature and the Sun giving off its flares. But what made this trip nice was Max and Milka’s friendly manner, professionalism and smiling faces. I know they must do several trips a week but they made us feel like this trip was special. They are true representatives of the welcoming Finnish culture and I really enjoyed my night out.
A few things that were confusing…Apple Maps gave a different location of the office. Luckily, I took an Uber and he dropped me off at the right office. It is crowded with multiple buses leaving at the same time but that’s a bit of a good thing as you can definitely find the office easily.

Truly a spectacular day in nature.
Be patient. Depending on the time of year, the beauty and wonder will unfold differently for you.
Our guide, Mari, was a gem. The random group drawn together that day- gracious. I can't believe my good fortune with the company I had along with weather that was absolutely breathtaking, not merely from the cold.
This is not a fast-tourism experience. Being in nature is what you make of it. Come with curiosity and wonder. In this winter excursion, the snowy trail along with the bright and crisp air made us move slower, gave us time to be present and observe the gifts of the season.
Do take this adventure, leave behind notions of being entertained and allow nature to bathe you in peace and wonder.
A lovely activity.
