Discover Etna and the Alcantara Gorges! The perfect mix of adventure and refreshing relax! The excursion begins by SUV or minivan (up to 8 people), together with our experienced guides. Our first stop is an off-road trip to the 2002 eruption lava fron. Continuing along the Via Mareneve, in the middle of the Ragabo pine forest, we will arrive at the starting point of our trekking to the Monti Sartorius craters. We will continue on foot, starting at 1650 metres and arriving at an altitude of 1750 metres, an easy walk suitable for everyone. We will then explore a lava flow cave, the Grotta dei Ladroni, equipped with helmets and torches. We will stop at a local chalet or restaurant for lunch (included in the price: a first course, water and coffee/tea). After lunch, we will reach the characteristic Alcantara Gorges, also known as the Larderia Gorges. A refreshing and relaxing visit to a wonderful place. You can cool off in the Alcantara river in the middle of the canyon of the Gorges!

Most memorable experience of my trip!

A remarkable Etna tour: walking among dramatic recent craters and real volcanic terrain was unforgettable. Our guide was exceptionally good, attentive and thoughtful, and paid particular attention to my safety as we hiked up the south side of the volcano. Definitely recommend

Our guide Giorgio was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of useful information along the way. He was also a careful and considerate driver and host. We felt very safe at all times (unlike on some other tours with different companies). The tour was the right length allowing us to fit in lots of sightseeing while still being back in town for the afternoon.

Such a lovely way to spend the day

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We did the Mount Etna 4x4 jeep tour and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish – a perfect way to spend the day. From the very beginning, everything was so well organised. Mario collected us from our hotel and brought us to the meeting point, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with – so friendly and welcoming. We even got to see his village on the way, which was a really nice touch, and the kids really enjoyed chatting with him. The meeting point itself was beautiful – a lovely scenic spot with incredible views of Mount Etna. There was also a shop there with amazing local products and produce (we ended up buying loads!), and the whole setting felt relaxed and enjoyable. Sitting outside with that view, in such a calm atmosphere, was just lovely. Our guide Carmelo was outstanding. He was so patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and explained everything in such an engaging way. You could really tell how passionate he is about Mount Etna, and he made the whole experience both educational and fun. He was brilliant with the kids too, which made a big difference for us as a family. We got to see so much throughout the tour, and one thing that really stood out was how little walking was involved. We had someone with us with mobility issues, and this tour was ideal – something I know I personally look for when reading reviews, so hopefully this helps others too. Overall, it was such a memorable experience with genuinely lovely people. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area – especially families. Thank you Carmelo and Mario for making it so special!

Mosaic madness!!

Fascinating tour! I thought I would like Agrigento the most but the Roman home with the mosaics was absolutely gorgeous. Damiano was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed his company very much. His choice of lunch stops was delicious. Best sandwich I had in Sicily. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our guide, Salvatore, made our day super special. He’s really interested in his work and is so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He told us where we were going throughout the day and made sure we were safe. Nothing was too much trouble and we had plenty of time at each stop. Salvatore explained when Etna was formed, showed us old lava flows, took us into a lava tube and walked us up onto crater ridges. After a generous lunch at a local restaurant, we moved onto the incredible Alcantara Gorge. Fabulous rock formations and great end to the trip. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing tour! Highly recommended if you enjoy history, culture and good food. Allegra was a great guide taking me the fish market and various locations in and around Catania. What sets this is the tour company apart from others is their willingness to take me on the tour even though their minimum client count wasn’t met. I had a personal tour from a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. 5 out of 5 stars with bonus stars for being so accommodating. Marco contacted me early in the week to let me know it was a minimum of 2 people for them to conduct the tour. Offered a refund if not met by Thursday. Messaged me Thursday to let me know that they would still take me on the tour. I can’t say enough about how truly enjoyable this tour was. Great food and wonderful conversations with Allegra. Will recommend and will be a return client with family next month!

Lots of amazing history!
