What are people saying about Bruges

A great day!
Walking through Bruges with Hugo felt like taking a stroll with an old friend; one with a wonderful knowledge of history! He brought the city’s past to life in a way that was engaging, relaxed and full of personality. You can tell Hugo has spent his entire career in hospitality. He has a natural way of making people feel welcome and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. A wonderful way to experience Bruges. Highly recommended!

Bruge History combined with a beautiful walk and boat ride!
We had a really great tour with Nick around the charming town of Bruge! Nick is born and raised in Bruge, and he is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about his home town. I highly recommend this tour! It also includes a 30 minute boat canal tour which is beautiful. We loved Bruge... what a quaint place!

There was so much more to...
There was so much more to see in Bruges than I was expecting. The tour bus from the cruise terminal had about 92 people on it but when we got to Bruges they split us up into groups of 20 or less. My tour guide Gerta (?) was fantastic. Really good knowledge of history presented in a storytelling manner. She was also very responsive to questions and pointed out places to stop for an authentic experience. Opportunity to shop or eat in the marketplace - don't miss the chocolates and waffles!

Great fun making waffles.
We had a terrific time at the workshop. First don’t forget the beer part which is very important since you have to choose which one to have in your waffle batter. Luckily you don’t have to rely on a tiny sip to make your choice, maybe a half a bottle is needed! And there are at least 4 beers to choose from. Making the batter following the precise instructions of the instructor was simple enough but owing to lots of questions and banter from the participants even that was fun. Then you have to eat them! Plan accordingly. You won’t need to eat again for a while. But you can wrap them up and take them with you. We ran our extras through the hotel’s toaster the next morning for breakfast!
