Top Azores Catamaran Cruises

Discover the best that the Azorean island of Terceira has to offer on a full-day sightseeing tour. Join a small group and visit top landmarks including the old city of Praia da Vitoria, the Algar do Carvao volcano, and several viewpoints. Your tour also includes a lunch stop where you can try the famous clay pot roast of Terceira.

Combine two tours in one—saving you time and money—when you book this whale-watching and volcano tour from Ponta Delgada. Start off with a boat ride along the coast of Sao Miguel Island, keeping your eyes out for whales, dolphins, and other marine life. After, board a van to explore the interior of the island, including the crater lake, waterfalls, and a popular surf beach.

When your cruise ship docks on São Miguel Island, experience the best of the Azores’ natural beauty on this small-group shore excursion. Follow the rugged coastline to Santiago Lagoon and the Seven Cities volcano with your guide, and admire uninterrupted views over the spectacular landscapes. Breathe in the scent of wild azaleas and hydrangeas, and visit a local pineapple plantation—with pickup and drop-off at the port included on your tour.

If you’ve got limited time in Sao Miguel, and you’d like to plan a personalized day tour, this is the perfect option. Avoid waiting around for other travelers, and instead, enjoy a tour with just your party and a private driver. You can customize your day based on your interests, or ask your guide for recommendations. Potential highlights include Furnas, Nordeste, Sete Cidades, or Lagoa do Fogo.
