Best experience ever! We were a small group so it was an even more wholesome experience. Daniel and Jose were awesome from start to finish. They were very patient with us and even offered porter services later on when things got difficult for us. Thanks to them we were able to do it! They were definitely our heroes. Once we got to the top we had dinner, drank coffee and even played card games with them while we watched fuego erupt, something I will never forget! I definitely see myself coming back for this again in the future! Thank you!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide Roberto! Our volcano hike was definitely challenging and pushed us outside of our comfort zones, but having such a kind, patient, and encouraging guide made all the difference. Our guide Roberto was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and attentive throughout the entire hike. They made sure we were doing okay, encouraged us when things got difficult, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Their positive attitude and kindness helped us keep going, even during the toughest parts of the climb. We truly appreciated all the little things they did along the way to make the experience special. They shared their knowledge of the area, helped us feel safe and comfortable, and made what could have been an overwhelming hike into an incredible memory that we will always cherish. We had such a great experience with our shuttle driver, Dereck! He was incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming from the moment he picked us up. Dereck made the entire ride comfortable and enjoyable, and we felt completely safe throughout the trip. He was very attentive, helpful with our luggage, and easy to talk to, which made the drive go by quickly. You can tell he genuinely cares about providing a great experience for his passengers. Definitely book

I had a great experience. I booked this tour as a solo traveler and even though I was the only one to book the specific tour they did not cancel, I ended up in a private tour with Jose. Jose was a wonderful guide, he gave me a lot of history and information about Guatemala, took lots of photos and videos, did not rush me or the tour. Incredible experience but keep illness in mind

I really enjoyed the tour company I thought they were professional and friendly from start to finish I like the touch of providing smoothies for us on return. Lots of our gear was included I only payed extra for hiking pools at the base of the mountain but I felt they went above and beyond to make our experience special they had marshmallows and hot chocolate at base camp and a common area cabin that was really nice. The cabins held 2 to 4 people and were very comfortable I didn’t feel cold when sleeping only at fuego and they really monitored out weather to make fuego happened. That being said every person on our tour did get sick within 24-48 hours with a gastrointestinal illness I suspect ecoli it could have been from the chicken in the lunch or water truly anything and as unfortunate as this is I truly feel it was a one off and i would still recommend this company just be mindful if you feel unwell in the following days to go to a pharmacy

Carve Your Own Jade was such a great experience! The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful, and you could tell they genuinely wanted everyone’s pieces to come out as beautiful as possible. Definitely be prepared to work and get hands-on because you really are involved in creating your own piece from start to finish! But don’t be intimidated. The staff supports and guides you every step of the way, while still allowing you to feel like you truly made something yourself. Such a unique experience and an even better souvenir to take home from Guatemala. Highly recommend!

Great experience; with things to know!

John was a fantastic tour guide for our ATV sunset ride! We started around 2:15 PM, and he was thorough, friendly, and guided us in English. The whole experience felt well-paced, with enough time at each stop to explore and enjoy everything without feeling rushed and not feeling like we’re spending too much time at places. A few things worth knowing beforehand: You are required to wear a helmet. You’ll be riding the ATVs on regular roads alongside other cars, so this isn’t an off-road or mountain ATV experience. At Hobbitenango, the final stop, the departure time you agree to is set because the vehicles operate on a schedule. If you decide you want to leave earlier, they may not be able to accommodate that, so plan accordingly. There was also one very short stretch where we got some dust in our faces for a few seconds, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re particularly sensitive to dust or have any related concerns. Overall, it was such a fun experience and surprisingly not stressful at all. John made everything easy and enjoyable from start to finish. 10/10 would absolutely do it again!
