A lovely day outside Amsterdam
This was a wonderful day out seeing the beautiful Dutch windmill village of Zaanse Schans, the manmade marvel of Afsluitdijk, and the fairytale village of Giethoorn. While Zaanse Schans is a bit touristy, the cheese was a must try and seeing the beautiful working windmills was nice. Giethoorn also attracts a lot of tourist, but the village seems untouched in many ways so taking the canal boat was a lovely way to see this lovely place. Renier was an exceptional guide and gave great tips and info.

A nice getaway from the city. Zaanse Schans is a nice place to visit, with the picturesque windmills, taste different cheese and see the workshop of wooden shoes. Giethoorn was one unique place to visit, beautiful house structures along the canal. The boat tour was great especially when we got to the swan lake area. Our tour guide Erik was excellent, knew exactly the ins and outs of the places we went. Thank you!
