Fantastic tour to Lake Myvatn, Godafoss waterfall, lava fields and mud pools - wonderful guide Sandra and Saga Tours
4 great locations to visit. Wear layers and have a waterproof with you. Waterproof walking shoes too if possible. Paths are generally good but some times steep and uneven at the lava field and slippery at the mud pools. Take midge net and spray for lake area. Use bathrooms as soon as you arrive to avoid long wait when busy. Be prepared to pay for bathrooms at some locations unless you are buying something check with guide. Really quick to find Saga reps right outside the port passenger exit and short walk to bus for those on a cruise. Would use Viator, and Saga travel again.

Compact Icelandic Experience.
Take layered clothing, insect repellent for midgies may be useful. Be aware of cruise ship times to be back on boat- ensure guide is aware of this. Personally, Lilly was an informative guide who added to our experience with Icelandic music. Driver Tippi was supportive, considerate and an excellent, safe driver.

Godfass, Lake and Earth Hot bath
Excellent tour with great driver/tour director Tom for Iceland.
He was informative, very knowledgeable & shared interesting stories that made the trip fun. The falls are one of the most scenic. For those who enjoy a short hike it was a special treat to be able to hike up to the base of the waterfall.

A fun day with a surprise
This was a great day despite the wind and rain. I was worried about finding the meeting location, but it was easy. There is a series of wooden ‘huts’ near the pier so it was just a matter of reading to find this tour group.
It turned out that it were part of a small group, so the driver/guide was able to show us some additional sites. The most unexpected was along the tunnel - he pulled over on the shoulder and we got out and went to a room that was excavated off the side. In it was an exhibit to show how the tunnel was constructed.
We stopped for lunch - not at Lake Myvatn. We didn’t go to the Lake/Lagoon itself, but saw it from the road. Not a problem - did I mention the wind and rain?
The weather eased up enough for us to spend some time at the continental divide/rift/cave.
This tour was worth the money we spent on it. It was a very interesting day and we were with a very small group of people. And it was significantly cheaper than a similar excursion available on our cruise.

Golden Circke trip
Val was an amazing guide. We had the best weather. Considering it was an 11 hr tour, it did not feel so long as we had so many breaks. Of course the stop at the blue lagoon at the end was totally perfect. About the Only Improvement I would make is to add alcoholic drinks and robes to the “adventure”. The stop to see horses was not on the program and was perfect.

Great trip with a great guide
Had a great time doing this whale watching excursion. We were lucky enough to see one whale breach and two whale tails. The breach happened so fast that nobody was able to get a picture of it, but it was still amazing to see it.
My only advice is to always be prepared to grab on to a handle bar or just hold on the entire time because once a whale is spotted, the captain will get that boat to it FAST. lol!

Great tour - over emphasized the boat discomfort
We had a great time whale watching on the rib boat. We saw 2 whales a humpback and a minkie. The boat captain and guide were so great!!!
I feel like they overemphasized the concerns with impact on the body from the boat ride. We were a little concerned about how they described it since my husband had a vertebra fusion 6 months ago. We had never been on a rib boat but we have been on multiple zodiacs. For us, it was no different from any other small boat ride.
This was a very dry boating experience. The suits are flotation suits not to keep you from getting wet like we have had on other whale watching trips.

The Godafos Waterfall is...
The Godafos Waterfall is a must see. I recommend that you go early and walk on both sides to get in every angle. Spectacular views.
We were on a Viking Cruise and the tours were booked from the ship. Viator was easy to use and the tour guide was knowledgeable.

Would Recommend
Really enjoyed this trip , we got to see everything as detailed in the itinerary with extra short stops for photos , great driver and host , comfortable bus , would recommend . Be aware some of the stops charged for use of toilets and we found midge nets very useful

Fun day!
Just enough time to see this area of Iceland, VERY good tour guide who told us stories about the area, comfortable bus, easy walking, fun day. Only thing that could make it better was to tell us which tour operator or what bus we should look for when we got off the ship.

⭐ An Unforgettable Day with Maria! 🇮🇸❤️🇨🇦
We had an outstanding day exploring North Iceland with Maria as our guide. She was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, bringing every stop to life with fascinating stories about Iceland’s history, geology, and culture.
Maria’s passion for her country is contagious, and she made sure everyone felt welcome and had a great experience throughout the day. She was organized, personable, and happy to answer every question.
As Canadians, we especially enjoyed learning that Maria married a Canadian! 🇮🇸❤️🇨🇦 It made for some fun conversations and was a wonderful personal connection.
Thank you, Maria, for making our visit so memorable. If you’re lucky enough to have Maria as your guide, you’re in for an amazing day. We highly recommend this tour!

Trolls, flowers and falls.
What an absolute fantastic tour in a comfortable van. Bigi was great at telling us relevant facts, interesting stories and yet not feeling like he had to entertain us every minute of the drive. We had adequate time at each site to wander if we wished or to hang out at an overlook or gift shop. We stopped at a market so we could buy snacks and sandwiches without fighting the crowds at the main tourist sites. We even got to see how the locals bake their bread with heat from the thermal features. We had extra time at the end for a drive through old town, past the botanical gardens and other sites. All of this was while making sure to return the group to our cruise ship at the right time. We highly recommend this tour.
