My husband and I had so much fun with this experience! We had a great group of fellow Americans and Chef Filippo took great care of us. He is so knowledgeable, with lots of good local tips, and he made us laugh as well! Filipo, the venetian chef, was excelent.
He is kind ,friendly and very involved and motivating during the coocking class, where we learned to produce our own pasta with tipical italian tools, and also our own tiramisú and scallops.
He also provided a higly enjoyable and interesting experience during the market visit, where he helped us interact with many local specialists (fish, vegetables, italian cheese and mortadelas, ...) that he personally knew, and where we learned a lot about local specialties. his advice was also priceless to buy some top quality local products to bring back home.
The kitchen was also a lovely place situated in a very centric area behind rialto and near the market.
To sum up, a lovely and super enjoyable experience, with a great and kind chef that allowed us to discover a diferent Venezia, away from the masses and turistic zones. Our sons (16, 16 ande 14) rated it as the best part of our easter vacation tryp.

The best of the best cooking experience! I have done several cooking classes in Italy and this was the ultimate one. Starting in the market, the goal was to identify and use fresh vegetables that were in season. Instead of creating the typical dishes, we learned how to prepare the most delicious meal based on the ingredients we found in the market. This represents hands on learning beyond what you could learn in any cook book or online video. It was practical and a delightful culinary experience!

Delightful! Filippo is a wonderful host/chef/instructor: knows everyone at the market where you walk around getting fresh produce and protein for the meal that you'll then go back and prepare—with his guidance and under his watch—at his stylish and functional kitchen. Even our kids enjoyed it and we all came away with some real new knowledge and skills.

Chef Filippohas a great personality and clearly enjoys cooking. His recipes were good and we all enjoyed preparing them under his direction. Following the interesting market visit, the class was held in a personal kitchen. It was a wonderful morning!

We would recommend this to anyone visiting Venice. Beautiful kitchen and outdoor courtyard setting to eat. We learned a different way to make pasta then other classes we have taken and the market was very unique.

We recently took the cooking class with Vanessa. We started the day shopping at the market to pick up fresh ingredients we were going to be using. We thoroughly enjoyed learning how to make fresh sauce, kneading the dough for pasta, and making Tiramisu. Vanessa explained every step clearly and made it fun, whether you were a seasoned cook or a complete beginner. Afterwards, we sat in a lovely garden enjoying our meal with glass of prosecco.

Cooking with a venetian chef was a MUST on our European travels and is one of our favorite activities that we completed during our trip. What started as a tour through Venice's oldest and still running fish markets, ended up being an afternoon basking in the sun eating pasta and prawns. Our chef, personable, kind and clearly passionate, was the perfect host. We got to make our own dessert, appetizer and to-die-for pasta, while learning tips and tricks and getting to enjoy aperol spritz. We honestly could not have picked a better activity to do during our time on the island. Our only comment is that the company clearly does not charge enough for this service and the chef deserves the upmost praises and a raise. Thank you for everything, we left Venice months ago and still talk about this day often.

What a wonderful experience!! Filippo was so knowledgeable and kind, and truly made our time in Venice unforgettable. From the tour of the markets and explanation of the local produce (and also showing us the right way to support local businesses), to the stunning backyard with delicious cocktails, and the fun and playfulness of cooking out meal, everything was perfect.
While I’m not new to cooking, it was my first “cooking class”, and Filipino made it interesting for all levels - from seasoned to new. Genuinely can’t recommend it enough!

The Fish market is closed on Sunday and Monday, so if that's important to you, then pick another day.
Vanessa was our chef and she was great. Our group was fun (even though we were all strangers). The kitchen where we cooked was perfect and we ate outside in the courtyard which was quaint. I highly recommend booking

This was a great class. Filipe was amazing, the food was fantastic, and I loved going to the Market first to pick the food fresh, which made it taste even better. He was helpful and extremely encouraging and that was so appreciated, my 12 year old daughter was with me and my sister and both had a fantastic job! I can’t wait to go home and show what I learned.
*One note is that I booked the tour in English, and ended up mixed in with a group the spoke Spanish. It wasn’t something I was prepared for, but our Chef handled it well and did his best to make sure all parties were included. A warning that this could happen would have been nice, especially given that I specifically chose English as my language. Despite this, it was amazing!

It was a very authentic experience! Filippo was very involved, tried to address everybody's preferences, did his best to show us a little bit of the Venetian/Italian culture and kindly answered all of our questions. The market tour was awesome (especially for the food enthusiasts) and also the cooking class, where we had a lot of fun and learned to easily cook very tasty food. Also (something that was important for us), everything was prepared and cooked in very hygienic conditions! We definitely recommend this experience with Filippo and would surely do it again maybe sometime in the future!

This small group cooking class was excellent. fresh pasta and tiramisu. The five of us took turns following the chef’s lead to make fresh spaghetti while Chef made the sauce. We all had a hand in making the components for the tiramisu. Using those components, we each put together our own tiramisu dessert cup. Chef made a delicious caprese salad, then we sat down outside to enjoy our very delicious dinner! Great experience!
