Lovely evening and fantastic cooking experience! The chef/ host Dani and was lively, and kept the group entertained as we made our paella. He was knowledgeable in the history of the food and kept things moving throughout the evening. The food turned out so good, best paella I’ve had and we made it ourselves which was more rewarding and the wine and apps were delish!! Really loved this experience with my husband and meeting others. Each couple or trio had their own station and dish keeping things intimate while still in a group setting.

Chef Victor and Julia were fantastic! They provided facts, their expertise, and were so welcoming and kind. This paella was everything I hoped for and it was delicious. I made the vegetable one and the flavor was amazing. The stop at central market was great too. Overall, I felt supported and had the best time!

This is a must do experience in the home of Paella, Valencia. Our Chef, Reyes, met our group and took us on a quick walking tour to the Mercat Central—the Central Market in the historic section of the city. We bought fresh ingredients while she explained the history of the almost 100 year old market.
At the elegant paella cooking school, we were greeted with a glass of Cava and fresh olives. An assistant explained to us the various local wines we would be enjoying during our experience. Btw the wines were excellent.
The actual cooking was done in a separate room with 8 paella pans already positioned and the ingredients arranged in a perfect mise en place. Each couple prepared either original Paella València with chicken and rabbit; seafood paella with cuddle fish, fresh fish and large prawns, or vegetable paella.
The cooking process was virtually identical for each paella and we all worked in unison. Chef Reyes was pretty hands on making sure we had the appropriate heat on the dishes. She also explained to us the significance of the steps and ingredients, especially the rice.
During the cooking process, the assistant kept out glasses full and passed around small bites. I estimate that the cooking time was about 40-50 minutes.
After letting the paella rest a few minutes, we all set at a long beautifully set table and enjoyed our efforts. A nice local red Bobol was served with the food. Everyone was happy with the results. I must admit, our paella was really good.
We finished with a local dessert and a local after dinner drink.
This is the best cooking class experience we’ve ever enjoyed. Reyes was delightful. She is from Valencia and went to culinary school in San Sebastián. Great pedigree!
I highly recommend this experience and believe it really enhances a visit to Valencia.

Amazing experience! Not just a cooking class, but also shopping, wine tasting and tapas, too. The class itself was very organized and informative.

Chef Daniel and Julia are not only knowledgable teachers, they are fabulous hosts who know how to bring a dinner party together. We learned culinary history, culture, cooking techniques, shared stories, laughs and had a great time for hours. This was the highlight of our spontaneous 2 week tour of Spain!

This was such a fun and delicious class. Juan and Luna were so inviting and knowledgeable about paella and all the wines we drank. I couldn't have asked for a more fun way to spend my evening

What a fabulous experience. Juan and Sofia were fabulous hosts. I loved learning about the traditions of paella as we cooked the dish. Sofia’s tapas were delicious as was the paella.

This paella class in Valencia is fabulous! I was traveling solo and not only met great people, but learned some general kitchen skills. Chef Megan takes you on a little walking tour on the way to the market, let's you have about 10 minutes to explore or come with her, and then you walk to the restaurant for the class. The space is perfect and the wine is free flowing! They also serve a few small tapas. Cooking is very hands-on but easy because everything is portioned a ready for you. And then you all sit down to savor your creation. Megan's energy is great and she keeps the class rolling while having fun.

A great fun night. Victor was an excellent host and teacher. We were treated to some great wines as well as learning to cook paella. Dinner was very relaxed and a great chance to talk with our fellow aspiring chefs.

Megan and Luna were amazing! We had the best time cooking paella in our honeymoon. The instructions were clear and Megan was always there to help with every step. We were also served wine and tapas which was an amazing bonus to the day. The paella turned out delicious and we also loved the group we cooked our paella with. We ended up traveling Valencia with the group and had a great day. Couldn’t recommended this enough!

This was an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend it! We toured there old part of the city, visited the central market, then got to the cooking workshop. As two people with very different cooking skill-levels, this was a fun and interesting experience for us both. If you sign up for this, you're bound to have a great time!

Wonderful experience! Chef Daniel was informative and patient, shopping at the central market then we went to a beautiful private restaurant space to sip wine and have small bites. Then we cooked and had more small bites with more wine, then everyone sat to eat the paellas we had made. Highly recommend!

This was an awesome hands on class with an outstanding host who guided those of us with little experience.

A brilliant way to learn how to cook paella and learn a little about Valencia too. Recommend giving it a go

Very good cooking experience with Juan - I was impressed with my paella - let’s hope I can replicate it at home!
Juan walked us around the Old Town (I know my way around now); unfortunately we couldn’t go into the central market as it was closed due to it being a national holiday.
We went to the paella school where Juan explained the process to us whilst Mimi served us wine and tapas
I was surprised that there is no onion nor garlic in the Valencian paella. We paired up and were talked through the process - I guess it took around 75 minutes to cook but our paella was very tasty.
The wines and tapas were lovely too.
A very enjoyable experience.

This is one of the best activities we’ve ever done on vacation! We only had two days in Valencia and we knew we wanted to learn how to make paella in the city where it was created. In this class we met people from all over the world, went to the beautiful market, had a wine tasting, and learned how to make paella, which we sat down and ate together after the paella was done. We learned so much on the tour Megan gave us on the way to the market, which was an unexpected surprise. Megan is super energetic, informative and fun, a wonderful teacher, tour guide and paella instructor! Julia was the wine expert who also served Spanish appetizers while we cooked our paella, she was also super informative. I highly recommend this activity if you are traveling to Valencia. 10/10, 5 stars!

This experience was really worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I learned so much and my paella was delicious. I highly recommend it
Maria_W, Apr 2026
The cooking is a great experience and it doesn’t take long and they make it easy to follow the steps.
Gloria_S, Apr 2026
We met our guide Daniel in a beautiful place and then walked toward the market. He told us about the city and its history as we were walking in the market. We went shopping for fresh vegetables for our paella. The cooking experience was fantastic. We also tasted four different wines during our experience.
This experience was so much fun. I would recommend it highly

We booked this for our first day in Valencia and we’re so happy that we did! We learned a little bit about the history of the city while we walked towards the market where we purchased fresh ingredients to include in our paella. Reyes was a wonderful teacher, explaining all the step while an eye on everybody’s dish at the same time. Michelle kept bringing us little tapas and more wine! The two of them made a great team. It was so much fun to cook and eat a meal with people from all over the world!

Had an amazing class with Victor! It’s obvious he is so passionate about his birthplace and of all things including the culinary history. He took time to explain and answer all questions. The paella and tapas were all fantastic and enjoyed the wine tastings as well. Definitely a wonderful class to take and a wonderful opportunity to take a piece of your trip home and make again! Thank you Victor for the fantastic evening!
Suzanne_K, Apr 2026
Daniel and Julia were great hosts! We started with a walking tour of the city, and Daniel was a very knowledgeable guide. Great sense of humor and made us feel very welcome. Then a quick stop at Central market to pick up ingredients and then finally to their beautiful space where cava and snacks were waiting. We made different paellas, depending on our preference and they all were incredibly delicious. Julia continued to serve different wines and appetizers throughout the experience and then we shared out Paellas. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Spain!
Kimberly_B, Apr 2026
It was one of the best tours I have been on. Megan and Jimena made it fantastic! I would recommend this tour to anyone. I booked it for 6 of us and everyone loved it! Food, appys and wine was sooooo good!

Victor was an amazing paella chef! Not only was he passionate about the dish, but was so pleasant and had amazing teaching skills and patience. My paella came out so delicious. Motivated to cook paella every week.
Crystal_D, Apr 2026
It was fun and the paella came out great! Daniel and Luna were wonderful hosts. Lots of good wine and small bites while cooking!

Daniel was friendly and informative, however he needs to speak slower and enunciate better when speaking in English
