Great day trip while in Tokyo. Beautiful bus drive, about two hours. My. Fuji was 100% visible so we lucked out! We were told by our wonderful tour guide that it’s usually 30%. Tram ride and boat tour were nice and relaxing. Lunch was great buffet of traditional Japanese foods. Well organized. Bullet train back was the way to go as only 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

Amazing, interesting and full day, all supervised by lovely Mai! Sun shone and Mount Fuji stood majestic. Wonderful lunch, cable car and boat trip and home quickly via the bullet train! Nothing not to love!

    • We will attend an alternative place instead of 5th station due to traffic regulation of Mt Fuji hill climb on 7th June.

    • The buffet offers the same menu for all guests, but there are dishes that vegetarians and those seeking Muslim-friendly options can enjoy. However, please note that we do not cater to following dietary requirements: Vegan, Halal, Pure vegetarian, Gluten free, and Allergy-friendly meals.

    Friendly, English speaking guide with lots of sites

    We had an amazing time on this tour! The bus ride was a bit long, but our tour guide Hiro took the time to teach us all about life in Japan! I feel like Hiro really made the trip, if was so knowledgeable about not only the places we visited but the culture and lifestyle in Japan. He even gave us a small Japanese lesson during the ride! The pirate ship was great, and seeing Mt Fuji up close was insane. Our favorite part though was the cable car. Definitely recommend, and hope you get Hiro as your guide!

    A throughly enjoyable adventure to Hakone!

    If you have the time, definitely book this experience. It was fun, informative and at points breathtaking. We were lucky to see Mt. Fuji throughout the day, including with the sunset as we shot through the mountains on the bullet train back to Tokyo. There was a mixture of historical, geographical and local information, including some excellent recommendations for all of Japan (not just Tokyo!). This tour extends beyond a trip to Mt. Fuji (which would have been excellent in itself), including plenty of stops to immerse yourself into different parts of Hakone. Thank you for a great experience!

    Great Shortened Trip

    Meg was great! The itinerary was altered and diminished. But this was not the fault of company. Weather was beautiful however previous storms caused an issue. Food was outstanding

    Check the weather 24 before!

    Sadly, we weren’t able to see the mountain for ride the carts up due to the weather. I would recommend booking and checking the weather days hours before. If the forecast is cloudy for that day, I would cancel the trip.

    Disappointing tour

    This tour was advertised as mount fuji and hakone bus tour. Because of the weather we were not allowed to visit station 5 of mount fuji as advertised instead we were taken to some lake that was supposed to have magical powers? It was pooring of rain so everyone got soaked walking down to the lake and spent the rest of the day feeling cold. At no point throughout the day did we even see the outline of mount fuji. Following a buffet lunch we took a 60 minute drive to the cable car to then be told it had been cancelled because of bad weather. We the drove to catch the boat advertised as part of the tour unfortunately because of the weather there was a limited service but we managed to board the crowded ship for a reduced sailing. We then went to a castle as a replacement for the cable car which was little interest to me. Our tour guide Yuty was good and really helpful and went out of his way to assist people he tried his best to lift people's spirits but unfortunately he was flogging a dead horse. I would strongly recommend anyone who has this tour booked if the weather outlook is bleak cancel this tour as it does not work in bad weather.

    Our tour guide , Yt was excellent and made the best of the situation. The tour operator should have cancelled this tour as a result of the pouring rain at both the pickup point and Mt. Fuji. The Hakone Rope tour was also cancelled because of rain and wind. The lake cruise was cut short because of inclement weather. Castle was substituted for some the missed scheduled items. Although the food was good at the buffet, more attention should be paid to ensure that the food is at least warm, if not hot. The fries, onion rings and tempura vegetables were cold or barely warm.

    Lousy weather and the trip should have been canceled.

    The weather was bad and viator did not cancel the tour. We didn’t see Mt. Fuji, the cable car trip was cancelled, the cruise was curtailed. The only thing they showed us was a lousy castle. They should refund the entire trip cost.

    Don’t waste you’re time with these people

    Horrible experience!!!! Wasn’t able to experience anything !!! Weather was horrible didn’t even go to mt. Fuji or ride the rope cars paid 327$ to eat a cheap flavorless lunch and ride a pirate ship for 15 min huge disappointment!!!! And the company wouldn’t even refund any part of the trip will not book again please be advised!!!

    Although it was a cold and rainy day, and no Mount Fuji in sight, they made sure that we still had a great experience. Tsubasa shows his love of Japanese culture and gave a wonderful explanation of history related to areas we passed through. Would highly recommend this tour to get a taste of the beautiful Japanese nature landscape, rain or shine.

    Beware of their practices

    Do not come here if it’s not perfect weather. You won’t get a refund or compensation if anything cancels. Couldn’t visit or see Mt Fuji so they dumped us at a gift shop, ate nasty food at a cheap restaurant, and saw a castle instead of the cable car ride. They don’t care if they take your money on a bad weather day. They know how all this goes.

    Program too tight to do everything

    The program of this tour is too tight to do everything. We were lucky enough to have one of the 120 days a year Fuji is not covered by clouds. Also lucky as 5 station opened early (mid April). But this caused long lines at the ropeway so when we got to the top the guides forced us to go straight back down not even leaving the station to see the view. He told us the day before the rope way was completely cut from the tour. We still missed the pirate ship so where put on a shorter public ferry. All guest arrived on time very time so this is completely an operator timing error. They do not reserve train seats so that was not a reason to rush.
