If you are late for the tour start time, you will not be able to join the tour mid-way.
We will attend an alternative place instead of 5th station due to traffic regulation of Mt Fuji hill climb on 7th June.
Please handle the loading and unloading of your luggage from the trunk yourself. (Including wheelchairs, stroller etc..)
The buffet offers the same menu for all guests, but there are dishes that vegetarians and those seeking Muslim-friendly options can enjoy. However, please note that we do not cater to following dietary requirements: Vegan, Halal, Pure vegetarian, Gluten free, and Allergy-friendly meals.
All weekend and Japanese public holiday tours will depart only from Shinjuku at 7:30 to avoid the traffic congestion.

Great all day tour up to Mt Fuji! The lunch was delicious and lots of options. Lovely was our tour guide and she was very friendly and had lots of knowledge to share. Made multiple stops and had about 45 min to an hour at each stop.

NotA pleasant experience

Tho advertised as a Mt Fuji excursion, we only had 40 minutes there to take pictures, walk around, use the facilities, try to get a bell as a souvenir, and get something to drink. We then went to other places that frankly I could have gone without and instead would have preferred staying longer at MT Fuji. This tour was not like the others and I was very disappointed

Poor planning by Viator

Planning left a lot to be desired as the bus ride to Mount Fuji took over 3 hours and the cable car ride was cut from the tour completely without any consultation with us, the tourists. The cable car ride was the main reason we booked that particular tour and we received a tiny canvas bag as compensation for our loss. Very disappointing! Any professional tour company should know to plan better for traffic, etc.

Flexibility needed with itinerary!

Overall this was a decent trip although be prepared to spend a lot of time on the coach. We understood that the weather and traffic can be unpredictable but from a 10 hour day we had about 6.5 hours on the coach/train. This meant that the time at each point was limited and we felt rushed to move on when we would've like to spend a bit more time at a place. There seemed no flexibility to do this. The lunch provided was OK although again took at long time at a location with limited attraction and other than rice, the buffet style food was cold. Our guide was Tsubasa who was very friendly and engaging and did his best to talk about various points of interest whilst we were moving from place to place. The ropeway trip was good despite the indifferent weather and the "cruise" was a bit pointless.

Never saw Mt Fuji

Did not see MT Fuji and it’s very rare to see it according to the guide. Lunch was stone cold. Long hours in traffic. Train station drop off left to get back by train.

We had a good tour we did not see Mt Fuji due to the weather, cable car was good, lunch was good and boat ride and bullet train back to Tokyo was good. Found it hard understanding Meg our tour guide and also getting train back to Shinjuku from Tokyo.

Lovely was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and full of fun facts. Be prepared that you may not see the peak of Mount Fuji, but good to take in the area and experience of traveling outside of Tokyo. We saw the peak once we departed the mountain when the clouds opened up. Worth experiencing.

Hakone Ropeway Cancelled

Our guide Yuti and the bus driver were excellent—professional, kind, and doing their best throughout the day. Unfortunately, the overall tour experience was disappointing due to poor communication and inconsistent adherence to the company’s own policies. Japan Panoramic Tours states that activities may be cancelled due to weather, traffic, or operational issues, and the cancellation of the Hakone Ropeway fell under that policy. However, they also clearly state that all weekend and Japanese public holiday tours depart at 7:30 AM to avoid traffic congestion. Because the tour did not follow this policy on Mountain Day, the delay that ultimately caused the Hakone Ropeway cancellation could have been avoided if the company had simply departed at the correct time. The traffic delay was known before departure, yet the itinerary continued to shift without clear explanation. After visiting Mt. Fuji—which we genuinely enjoyed—we were told the Hakone Ropeway was cancelled, and no meaningful alternative activity was offered. Instead, we received a small gift bag. Since only one activity needed to be removed, we should have been given a choice. The boat tour would have been a far more reasonable cancellation than the Hakone Ropeway, which is one of the main highlights of the tour. To make matters worse, we reached out to Viator for support. They contacted the tour company but refused to pursue a refund, even though Japan Panoramic Tours failed to follow its own published holiday departure policy. Viator was completely unhelpful throughout the process. While the staff themselves were wonderful, the lack of communication, the failure to follow company policy, and the lack of support from Viator resulted in a frustrating and largely wasted day. Travelers should be aware that significant itinerary changes can occur with little notice, and the tour may involve far more bus time than expected.

Super easy to find the buses etc and our guide was fantastic. Very interactive and made a real effort to connect with everyone. You’re only at Mt Fuji for less than an hour so be aware of that. Otherwise, zero complaints. The other things we did like the sulfur pit, gondola and boat ride were also great.

We loved everything about this excursion! Our guide, Sora, was knowledgeable, personable, and so much fun to spend the day with. From seeing Mt. Fuji to lunch, the gondola ride, and the boat cruise, every part of the day was enjoyable and very well organized. The entire experience matched the advertised itinerary perfectly, which we really appreciated. It was a wonderful way to experience Mt. Fuji and Hakone in one day without having to worry about any of the logistics ourselves. Everything flowed smoothly, and we felt like we were able to see and do so much without the day ever feeling chaotic. Sora made an already great experience even better. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan!

A Wonderful Tour

The trip to Mt. Fuji and Hakone was wonderful despite not actually seeing the peak of Mt. Fuji (too cloudy/rainy). Our guide, Aya, was knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. It was a bonus to hear historical facts about Japan and its culture from her. The buffet lunch was also good but my favorite part was getting to ride on the bullet train on the way back to Tokyo. My family - my wife and I and our three teenagers - would heartily recommend this tour for others.

This day is jam packed with so many fun activities! Aki is a excellent tour guide, and very knowledgeable and shares her personal experience, such as her recommended restaurants in Tokyo list. She will also answer any questions about life in Japan. The bus is a relaxing and air conditioned way to travel, no need to worry about how to get to one place from the next. So many good pictures are taken on the tour, from Mt Fuji to the active sulfur vents to the scenic lake pics. The lunch is delicious as well. 5 star for convenience, comfort and amazing sights. We had a wonderful Mt. Fuji and Hakone tour with my parents, and it was one of the best days of our trip. A special thank you to our guide, Mai. She was so warm, kind, and always smiling. What I appreciated the most was the genuine care and personal attention she gave to my mom throughout the day. It was really heartfelt to see and meant a lot to us. The tour itself was very well organized. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, and although we covered so many places, it never felt rushed or overly tiring. Cross your fingers there isn't a traffic jam

I've never left a negative review before, but I'm hoping this will help someone make an informed decision regarding their time and money. I'm sure this is a great tour, however we unexpectedly hit a lot of traffic, which was completely out of everyone's control - including the tour operator. That said, it changed the itinerary quite a bit. We had 25 minutes at lunch rather than an hour (this was enough time). But we then had 35 mintutes at Fuji followed by the 30 minute boat ride. The gondola was cut out completely due to time. The tour guide also told us the lineup at the gondola was very long - so the admission tickets that are attached to this tour fee clearly aren't considered "front of the line." We requested a partial refund, at least for the admission fee, but it was denied. After speaking with Viator, and then the tour operator directly, they eventually said that alternative plans were put in place of the gondola ride. This was completely untrue. I told them the tour guide didn't say anything about cutting the gondola until we were leaving the first site, and until that point had only said time would be cut down at each activity. Which everyone on the bus agreed to. After insisting to customer service there wasn't a supplementary activity they suggested the free postcard and magnet given at the end were considered the substitute. This must have slipped their mind in the phone conversation, they brought it up in their follow up email. We booked a few others with (I guess third-party) viator and they were all great, but the tour company that operated this particular one wasn't. The tour guide representing them, Yuta, was friendly and informative but didn't communicate things well at all. We boarded the bus at 7:50 am and got off the train at Tokyo station around 7:00/7:30 pm. Of that time, we spent 25 minutes at lunch, 35 minutes at Fuji and 30 minutes on the boat. 90 minutes of activity of the 12 hour day of travel. And for the gondola cancellation we got a postcard. There were 8 of us in our party, and if we did it again, even though we couldn't see Fuji, we'd still book it. We'd just make sure we did it with a company that's more transparent.

Mount Fuji excursion

We enjoyed this excursion— able to see the country of Japan too!! The bullet train was an experience.. very well organized !! Did not see Mount Fuji due to clouds but still had a wonderful time!! Made it to the 5th station though!!
