This is a touch and go tour. There is no guarantee that you will actually be able to see Mt. Fuji because of the weather. However, we were fortunate and despite the cloudy day, the clouds broke and we had a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji. Our driver, Hassan, took us on a tour of the Mt. Fuji where we were able to get some great photos. We also visited the World Heritage Center which was a treat of its own.

Fantastic service, the absolute best way to see all the sites you want to see at and around Mt. Fuji! TJ, our driver, was excellent and planned a great itinerary as well as a surprise excursion on a speedboat on Lake Kawaguchiko which was fantastic! The weather was wonderful and we throughly enjoyed our day! Bring your walking shoes, you will do a lot of steps.

Overall, we had a good experience on our Mt. Fuji day tour, visiting places like Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchi, and Chureito Pagoda, which offered beautiful and iconic views.
However, we did experience a communication issue prior to the tour. We did not receive any information the day before, and I had to contact Viator late in the evening to confirm the details. After reaching out, the tour operator contacted us via WhatsApp, which resolved the situation.
Aside from that initial inconvenience, the tour itself went smoothly. Everything was well organized, and we were given plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the views, take pictures, and relax without feeling rushed.
In summary, while communication beforehand could definitely be improved, the actual tour experience was enjoyable and well-paced, making it a worthwhile day overall.

We had an outstanding experience with our guide and driver, Taimoor. He reached out the afternoon before to confirm all the details, which immediately gave us confidence that everything was well organized.
On the day of the tour, he was already waiting for us when we came down to the lobby, and the entire day ran smoothly from start to finish. What truly stood out was his flexibility—he tailored the itinerary to match exactly what we wanted, focusing on maximizing our time around Mt. Fuji and avoiding stops that didn’t interest us.
Throughout the day, Taimoor was knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to answer our questions. To make the experience even better, he turned out to be an excellent photographer. He knew exactly where to go for the best views and helped us capture fantastic photos of Mt. Fuji with cherry blossoms in the background—memories we will truly value.
We would highly recommend Taimoor and this tour to anyone looking for a personalized and well-executed Mt. Fuji experience.

Faiq was an exceptional guide and driver. We visited Mount Fuji on a rainy and overcast day. From the observation deck Mount Fuji was obscured by cloud. Faiq contacted friends who informed him of possible sites to see glimpse of Mount Fuji which were somewhat successful. The remaining portions of the tour were informative and interesting to visit. Even though we were dealing with rain for most of the day I feel we got value for our money.

We had a fantastic day with Faiq. So glad that he recommended we leave early to beat the traffic, the crowds and get the best visibility of Mt Fuji. Faiq took us to the best five places and the day couldn’t have gone better. He even took some great family photos for us. A perfect day!

Our guide (he said name Chaudhary) not good for this hospitality business. 1. We book tour for 8:30 am he msg us day before asking to leave 5:30-6 am, we had to refuse that early pick up. 2. He hold phone though out journey. He should have phone holder on desh board for safety. 3. We wanted to go to oshino Hakkai. He took us Yashi-no-sato and said this is oshino hakkai. (Dishonestly). 4. Offered us additional stops for extra money but failed to get us all stops we paid for in itinerary. 5. Didn’t took us to Oishi Park, said garden construction so not much to view. 6. Didn’t took us to Lake Kawaguchiko and stopped at Lake sei-ko. 7. Talking personal call for long during drive. From start to finish dishonestly. Not worth the money or time with this driver (not guide for sure). We had to pay for parking at pagoda… no mention of we have to pay that in booking. Start to finish I had to negotiate with him about stops we want to visit. Told us if we go more than 10 hrs it cost us 7000 yen per hour. We rushed back in 9 hours. We could’ve stopped at one additional point. Horrible experience

A really good experience! i travel with my parents who are over 75 yo, and our driver and guide (Mr. Moon) really take a good care of them. Very nice trip. Suitable for my parents. And He took a lot of our pictures too ( he got skill in photography too)
I would recommend this tour to everyone who wants comfort on the trip to Fuji..

Our tour guide Dev was delightful. Took care of us and showed us the best spots without the long wait. He did everything to make sure we were happy, and we truly enjoyed this rare experience. Choosing a private tour over a group one turned out to be the perfect decision, especially with kids in tow. They loved having plenty of space to explore, and the added convenience of hotel pickup at 6:30 a.m. made our morning seamless. Very little apart from the fact we were driven in a comfortable car was accurate. We had a guide who did not speak other than to say it was raining so woukd be a bad day and whether we thought he shoukd move to England. Taken nowhere near the base of Mt Fuji and then rushed back to Tokyo before 4pm after waiting for him to finish chatting on the phone, made very clear it was not an option other than to return back to the hotel. Not even any bottled water as promised. A real letdown please don*t putyouself through it.

Mt. Fuji is the star of this show. The nearby shrine has a great view - and 400 stairs to get there! It’s worth waiting for a spot on the viewing platform. Otherwise there will be lots of others in your shots. My guide suggested a boat trip. Which I was up for. What I wasn’t expecting was a speedboat! A fun way to spend 40 minutes. If visiting Mt. Fuji note that Sundays are a hugely popular day so plan to be surrounded by lots of other visitors.

First our driver wanted to pick us up at 6:00 am instead of the agreed upon 8:00. Having just arrived from the USA and in need of food and coffee, we were able to agree upon 6:30 so that we could rush through breakfast. No one has control of the weather so I’m not blaming the rain on the tour guide, however l, he really wasn’t a tour guide, more like a driver. He spoke very little and when he did, he was hard to understand and hear. His vehicle was also in need of repair as the noise coming from the breaks was irritating and a little nerve racking. Then there was his occasional speeding way above the speed limit.

We had a perfect day at Mt. Fuji. The driver, Heider, contacted us via WhatsApp the night before and recommended that instead of the original 6am time that we live early at 5:30am as it was a holiday in Japan and it would allow us to beat any traffic and avoid the crowds. So glad that we followed the advice. Each location was not very busy and we had no traffic at all. If you can go as early as possible. Heider was pleasant, kind, and took some great family pictures for us. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommend booking this tour! It was a fantastic day and our tour guide moon was so helpful. He made sure we were comfortable, was very knowledgeable of the area, and took some amazing photos for us. We had ample time to sightsee, shop, and grab se lunch....was a great way to spend the day and we got an amazing view of Mt fuji!!

The private full day tour was the perfect choice for us. Moon was a wonderful guide. He contacted us about starting earlier than originally planned to avoid traffic, and this was the best choice to for congestion on the road and on the mountain. He was an excellent driver. He shared his knowledge about the history of Mt Fuji and the surrounding temples, shrines and lakes. We enjoyed the Oishi ice cream and a lovely lunch. Thank you Moon! It was a great day!

Driver did not follow itinerary. Claimed we had to head back at 2pm to reach tokyo by 6 because of new years eve. Missed multiple itinerary stops including 5th station. Left fuji area around 320 and got back by 520 including stop for driver to get caffeine drink driver spoke limited English..

Said they weren’t available to come because of incident with car. Viator won’t refund because they said the tour company offered to reschedule for tomorrow- they don’t consider that a cancellation. RIdiculous. we are leaving tomorrow. Don't use this company or VIATOR. Probably have been scammed. Will block charge with credit card company.

This is a scam, do not book. They take the booking, then call at 6am (not text so there is no proof) and say the car has broken down so can't come. Then when you claim the refund they deny and say you didn't show up, and Viator won't refund the $600. This was our experience yesterday with Ali and have now found othersnwho have had the exact same issue.
How is this allowed by a company like Viator in 2025 - incredible.
