Highlight of our trio to Rio

Our e-bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Rio. The ride started at our guides local suburb, which gave us more authentic feel of the city. Great bikes that made things effortless so we could relax and enjoy the views. Stefano was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe navigating both the greener areas and the coastal paths. It was great to see Rio from a different perspective and would highly recommend.

A Very Unique, But The Best Way To See Rio!

We spent the most amazing 7 hours with Stefano on his "long" tour. I was initially a little apprehensive because I've never been on an e-bike before. But I needn't have worried. Stefano was so patient throughout the tour, making sure I was comfortable on the bike, providing clear instructions, and guiding with the upmost care. He took a portfolio of pictures and videos for us so we can just simply enjoy our ride and Rio! Stefano was humorous - told us funny stories and a nature lover - very knowledgeable of the floral & fauna. In 7 hours, he gave us the most comprehensive tour of Rio - the hip Santa Teresa, many beautiful lookout points and quiet areas in Tijuca NP, and all the famous beaches. His bikes are in great condition. In the end, not only we got some exercises, we also felt we were just riding and hanging out with a friend, and not on a pedestrian touristy tour!

Stefano was an oustanding guide - so friendly, knowledgeable on the area and good fun. I'd highly recommend doing this tour early in your Rio stay as you get to see pretty much all of the city. Bikes were great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You will need to have a little bit of fitness and some familiarity with cycling.

Brilliant bike ride! We have done many city bike tours around the world and this was by far the best. The electric bikes helped with hills in the heat. Stefano was an excellent guide, who looked after us and gave us lots of useful information about the area we were travelling through. Highly recommend this ride.

E-bike tour of Rio

Stefano is an amazing guide. The tour begins at his home in Santa Teresa and passes nearby a favela(but doesn’t go into it) with views of the north of the city. Then we ride into the Tijuca rain forest along the roads that are, in the most part, closed to cars. Great views of the city and Chist the Redeemer. We saw monkeys and tucans. A large portion of the tour is in the silence and tranquility of the rain forest. Then we ride along the Freitas lagoon looking for capibaras on Leblon’s lagoon side and along the bike paths of Copacabana, Botafogo ( nice views of Pâo de Açucar) and Flamengo beach where we stopped for a fresh coconut, and then back to Santa Teresa. It is a long ride that cover much of the south of the city but the e-bikes allow you to ride so much longer. The bikes are in great shape. There are bathroom stops and Stefano gives a nice introduction to Rio. There are a few moments with city traffic that are a bit unnerving but Stefano is careful and knows what precautions to take. However most of the tour is through bike paths or pedestrian areas that are very safe. It is a good work out and great introduction to Rio where you can appreciate how this city is built between the ocean and a rain forest.
