The trip with highland experience tours was amazing. Tour guide John was funny, thoughtful and helpful. He managed to strike a good balance between Scottish history, music and quieter times. He added quite a few photo stops based on the weather conditions. I appreciate him going above the itinerary to make it a memorable experience. Couple of things to note though is that as with any long tours, some of the sights had to be rushed up a bit. Time in Portree could easily be extended by another 30 mins to relax. Another major point that I wish they consider is that of picking up people from different stays. They have put our group on 3 stays across Inverness. The pickup on both the days started from the same stay which unfairly disadvantaged us who were on stay 2 and 3. Sadly, the 1st stay had more people and hence we were left with the few seats in the last and couldn’t sit together which is not right as all of us pay the same price. To avoid this, they should either put everyone on the same place of stay or pick up everyone from the same spot or start from the stay where less people are staying. Anyways, we managed to check with the guide and walked over to the 1st pickup point on day 3 to ensure at-least we sit together. Apart from this, everything was great!

It was absolutely amazing! The scenery was breathtaking. The tour effectively allowed as so many stops to take photos and just enjoy the beautiful views.

I had an amazing 3 days exploring the isle of sky and highlands. The sceneries were breathtaking and our tour guide Dejan knew exactly where to go and lead the way with some great dad jokes. My friend Kristin and I had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Rory and our bus mates on this 3 day tour of the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye. We were fortunate to have really nice weather for the first 1 day; more typical changeable weather the next 2 days. But regardless of the weather we enjoyed all the stops and the cruise on Loch Ness. The days were very full with lots to see and also enough stops to eat and do some of your own thing along the way, The accommodations were clean and comfortable with good breakfasts.
Other than the incredible landscape and historical landmarks, the highlight was our tour guide Rory, who filled up our travel time with many interesting and hilarious stories about Scottish history, lots of "make you want to groan" Dad jokes, plus Scottish music playlists. The 3 days flew by, we all got along really well and we had no complaints.

This tour was a great way to get a feel for the country in just a few days. Our guide was Iain M. He did a great job explaining and giving the background and history of the all the stops and where to find unique things. He got off the bus and took us to places and showed rather than just telling like some tour guides we’ve had.
Some of our favorite stops were Glenncoe hike, isle of skye village shops, Mackenzie bakery, putting your face in the water at river sligachan, and how to get good photos of the hills and bridges.
Definitely recommend!

Alex was a great tour guide and great driver to get us back safely with all those crooked roads in the middle of a storm. Unfortunately, we did not get to do the Isle of Syke portion as a major storm dropped trees all over the roads and blocked access to the island. The rest of the tour was as good as it could be considering the weather we had to deal with. I especially loved the little BnB we stayed in at Inverness for 2 nights. I definitely recommend you request it specifically. Its the Corunna BnB.

It is action packed but be prepared to be travelling for long periods. By day 2 you are adjusted and more activities that promote physically moving and walking being out on the Lough v educational filled in blanks as was a fan of Outlander drama and the Highlander movies

Incredible experience! I have never done a bus tour before and I wasn’t sure what all to expect. I am over the moon happy with our tour choice and so blessed to have Hugh as our guide. He had the perfect combination of stories, information, exploring time, music, and the insider scoop on where to go and when to stop. How often do you meet a person who’s a world renowned bagpiper and plays the bagpipes on your tour? We saw everything we could have hoped for and so much more. I just finished a 3 day tour of The Highlands and Isle of Skye, and it was honestly the best tour I’ve ever taken! Our guide Hugh was amazing-so friendly, fun and knowledgeable about Scotland. You can tell how much he loves his country, and it really makes the whole experience extra special.
He even played the bagpipes at some of the most beautiful stops, which was such a unique and unforgettable touch.
Hugh also knew all the best local spots, from stunning viewpoints to local bars where we could unwind in the evening and soak up the local atmosphere.
The scenery through Skye and The Highlands was jaw dropping and the way the tour was organized gave us the perfect mix of sightseeing, stories and time to explore.
If you’re thinking about this trip, go for it-and if you’re lucky enough to get Hugh as a guide, you’re in for an incredible time!

The trip was very nice, beautiful scenery, excellent accommodations. There were a couple of issues I would like to address. We joined the trip a day late as our plane from Dublin to Edinburgh was canceled. Your company was great about letting us join the tour in Inverness. I think it would be nice to have a buss driver and a tour guide. Our bus driver Craig was very nice, but he didn't tell us very much about what we were seeing. He was also very difficult to understand. We skipped some stops because of parking issues, and did not cover all the stops listed in the itinerary. The bus was supposed to be new, but the ac made such a racket that Craig was not able to be heard, and noise was quite annoying.

We travelled with Ben, a very enthusiastic driver with a lot of knowledge about the area. We could easily understand him and he was very nice with the litlle boy who joined our group. You get a lot to see when you take this trip. We had amazing views! Especially when you're travelling depending on public transport, I would recommend you to take this trip. You'll come at places not so easily reachable by public transport. The trip has a good variety of activities.

Great dabble in Scottish Highlands. Stayed at the cutest B&B while exploring the Highlands. Lots of travel time, but got to see a lot. Our guide Jamie was fantastic giving lots of Scottish history. Would have given tour a five star but we skipped the Loch Ness boat ride which we were looking forward to for silly tourist reasons. Otherwise highly recommend

Let’s begin with the positive: you have an amazing country. Scotland is unique and beautiful. The title of this tour does not reflects the reality, as well the full itinerary did not explain well how this is going to work. I bought thinking we were going to stay in Skye for two night, but it was Inverness. We were in a hurry all the time. Elian castle was one ring to stay a least two hours. Instead of highlands experience you must change it to taste of the highlands.
The Old Man of Storr, with significantly geology importance.. we just took a picture for so far away where electrical lines were blocking the view. The original tour pictures sells you the tour like you are going to be just there and hiking, that’s ain’t true.
Ar the beginning of the tour we change route to pick up four passengers… not in the itinerary as well.
The tour guide should be more gentleman, avoid the road rage pitting at risk many tourists. Also, his English, not everyone understand or are use to Scottish English and one need to make great effort to understand.
Portree… nasty people in the restaurants. I suggest you reserve a restaurante table for all the tourist in this trip so all can enjoy the shoreline next to Pinctorest building and walk more around town. Some spend too much time doing lines to get lunch or even rejected because was a solo traveler.

I would however like to clarify that the advertised itinerary does state in Day 1 and Day 2 - overnight in Inverness and doesn't mention staying in Skye.
We also mention that on Day 2 you will discover Skye Experience Skye’s dramatic landscape where we explore the Trotternish Peninsula and we will stop for photographs at The Kilt Rock, Mealt Waterfall and The Old Man of Storr. There is no mention of hiking activities.
Our guides are local people with a passion and enthusiasm and individual Scottish accents as they do there best to communicate their passion for Scotland and their stories clearly and with individuality to a worldwide audience.
Portree is indeed a very busy place in summer and unfortunately we have no control over how businesses operate, but do value feedback and take action where we can.
I trust this explanation offers some clarity and hope overall, you had an enjoyable tour experience.

This tour was fantastic. The amount of ground we covered over the three day period was far more than I thought it would be. Our driver, Graham was great. I’d say anything he doesn’t know about Scottish history isn’t worth knowing. Where he could he related the history to the areas we were visiting. The accommodation was lovely as well. It’s hard to pick a highlight as everyday it was something new, but I did love Glencoe as well as Inverness. The Isle of Skye was stunning. The only criticism I could make is that being able to explore Inverness more would have been good. I think I’m still processing what we saw as there was so much! I’d highly recommend this tour as 3 days was a good timeframe but we also got to do so much within that 3 days.

Just returned from the 3 day Highlands tour with Brodie. Had a great time. Brodie is very well organized and extremely knowledgable with a poignant sense of humor. Highly recommended!
