Silvia was a great guide...
Silvia was a great guide for our trip to Murano and Burano. Just the right amount of time to explore both places and time on our own.

No lace demonstration at...
No lace demonstration at Burano, but a great little island. More information should be provided about pickup points and what will happen with water bus transfers.

Great boat trip!
Burano is a nice ‘quaint’ town with colourful houses and a history of lace making….whereas Murano is purely business. We visited one Forno called Vetreria Artistica COLLEONI for a glass making demonstration. It was interesting of course but then you went through an IKEA type maze of rooms filled to the brim of very ‘old italian’ piece to purchase. Boat trip with commentary and view of lagoon was the highlight.

Great opportunity to see...
Great opportunity to see the islands of Murano and Burano. Watched a glass blowing demonstration followed by an opportunity to do some shopping. Be aware that it’s very expensive. Burano was beautiful, the colors of the buildings make for some great photos.

We had an amazing time...
We had an amazing time with our guide visiting the island of Murano and Burano. Saw a glass making experience and then had a great lunch in burano. Rachel our guide was the best!

Great trip!
Flavia was a good guide. Wish there had been cold water as the trip on the boat and in Murano was very hot. Please use microphone on boat rather than headset- so much clearer when she used the microphone. Burano was gorgeous and Flavias recommendations were excellent. Murano was very interesting, as we truly appreciated seeing the artistry of the glass blowing and the amazing art it created! Overall an excellent experience.

Fun, informative, and excellent tour!!
Great tour! Mr Alex was a fantastic tour guide and informative…and entertaining too!! I loved that we didn’t need to wear earbuds and a transponder for the tour. We particularly liked that we had a private boat for this tour specifically. We really enjoyed going to Burano, wished we could have had more time to explore the beautiful island. Overall it was a great private tour and would highly recommend!!!

Worth it for the local insights
A great way to visit both Murano and Burano! The glassblowing and lace-making demonstrations were interesting, and Elly shared the history of both islands throughout the tour. You can visit these islands on your own but we really appreciated having a local guide to explain the history and culture behind what we were seeing, it made the experience much more meaningful. Well organized with enough free time to explore each island.

Wonderful tour of islands
Really enjoyed our tour with Rachel! Learning the history about Murano glass was fascinating, and Rachel gave us a great recommendation for lunch at Fabbrica Burt’s & Piadina where you can have a Burano-crafted beer and amazing grilled flatbread sandwiches.

Great afternoon out to the islands
Lovely half day trip led by the wonderful Sandro. A very hot day so watching glass blowing made us feel for the skilled creators. Unfortunately two of us got lost from our guide on Burano so missed the lace demo but the area was fab to walk round.
Definitely recommend!

When to visit

A boat trip to Burano is a must for photography buffs, who will love capturing the vibrant colors.
Venice island tours require getting on and off a boat, so confirm wheelchair and stroller accessibility ahead of time.
Burano lace, like Murano glass, is made entirely by hand and is very expensive. Don't be fooled by cheap industrial knock-offs sold at many souvenir shops.
The island's main street is lined with souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants.
