Fun time
Our guide was Nick, who was very knowledgeable and kind. He took us through Tsukiji market and pointed out lots of things we would have not noticed or known. He recommended some places for us to stop and eat. It was a relaxing time. He then dropped us off at our sushi making class with Kate and Haruko. The class was so fun and we learned a lot! They even give you the instructions and recipes at the end, so you can make sushi at home. I enjoyed this tour.

Great tour with Miky!
Our family of 4, including 2 teens, thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Tsukiji fish market. Our guide Miky was incredibly enthusiastic, interesting and a lot of fun to be around. We tried many different foods, saw areas of the market that we would likely never have seen if we had been alone, and we also experienced an unexpected highlight: a giant tuna was being cut up with sword-like knives as we passed by.

A nice tour!
We visited a Temple and Shrine! Meg taught us how to pray at the shrine and I was able to place a prayer at the shrine! My daughter walked around to remove evil spirits. We made our own sushi and ate lots of street food! Meg took lots of photos!

Tsukiji Fish Market Food Walking Tour
We very much enjoyed our tour of the Tsukiji fish market. Our guide brought us to a good variety of stops, some of the highlights being the fresh pepper shop and the sashimi experience - neither of which we would have found on our own. The only reason we’re giving 4/5 not 5/5 stars is that we would have enjoyed learning more about the history of the neighborhood and hearing a few anecdotes. Otherwise great!!

The best seafood we had in Tokyo!
We loved our Tsukiji tour with Hitomi! She was such a delight, very kind, funny and knowledgeable about the entire area. The food spots she chose were very tasty, we really liked all the street food stops as well as the restaurant. This is the perfect way to discover Tsukiji fish market and the surrounding temples! Thank you for the lovely day!

When to visit

The Inner Market at Tsukiji Fish Market relocated to Toyosu in 2020, roughly 1.5 miles (2 kilometers) away from Tsujiki—head there to see the famed tuna auction.
The Outer Market, home to vendors and restaurants, still calls the original Tsukiji Fish Market home.
Take advantage of the many vendors in the Outer Market who sell some of the best sushi and freshest seafood you’ll ever taste.
The Outer Market of the Tsukiji Fish Market is technically wheelchair accessible, but not that easy to navigate due to the large crowds.
It’s free to enter the market, so you don’t need to buy Tsukiji Fish Market tickets.
