All Ravenna Tours & Excursions in 2026

This was our first time at Ravenna Port for Royal Caribbean and it's a lot different than most busy ports. Transportation is a must to get back to the airport. Our driver was at the port waiting for us when we got off our ship. He drove us to Marco Polo Airport in Venice and actually walked our bags with us to our check in gate! Great Service and Will Definitely book them again when in Venice/Revenna.

The tour was incredible! We visited the beautiful historic town Sienna, stopped at a 13th generation family winery for an amazing tasting and meal. We then went to the historic town of San Gimignano and enjoyed more beautiful sites and shopping. The time spent at each stop was perfect. Our guide Marco was very knowledgeable, spoke great English and shared all types of information about Florence and its surrounding towns history. He gave us great recommendations of places to eat and visit. The van he drove was very clean roomy and comfortable and Marco was a very safe and alert driver. This tour was affordable to us and offered the perfect balance for our stay in Florence. We give it a 10+ and highly recommend this tour.

This was a very interesting and informational tour with Elizabeth. We took the train from Bologna, set up by the tour company, and everything went smoothly. After touring the 5 monuments with the group, there was two hours of free time before our scheduled train back to Bologna, which was great to have. We walked around, had an early dinner, with plenty of time before heading to the train station. The cathedrals, basilicas and mosaics were gorgeous! Elizabeth was very engaging and our audio system was very clear. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful private tour of Ravenna with Luana! She was incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant, making the entire experience both enjoyable and fascinating. We visited several of Ravenna’s beautiful churches with gorgeous mosaics, and Luana brought each one to life with her stories and knowledge. We were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Ravenna!

I booked online with the Opera di Religione of the Diocese of Ravenna at the site www.ravennamosaici.it at a cost of 16.50. So it is less expensive, and you skip the line for tickets. The entrance included 5 sites: the Archiepiscopal Museum and Chapel, the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, and the Neonian Baptistery. However, you can also choose fewer sites; there are more options. Everything was fantastic! In particular, the Basilica of San Vitale with its mosaics is a spectacle of mastery, as is the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia. If you are in Ravenna, I highly recommend visiting them. A round of applause also goes to the National Museum of Ravenna, adjacent to the Basilica of San Vitale. Ticket cost is separate (if I remember correctly, 7 euros), time for the visit is about 1-1.30 hours; it is beautiful and well-organized, with extraordinary works of art that tell the story of Ravenna and beyond. I also visited the Domus dei Tappeti, which, honestly, for the type of site and 5-7 minutes, the ticket is a bit expensive. Ravenna is very beautiful, and everywhere you turn you find houses, churches, courtyards, and frescoes, so you cannot tell where the historic center begins and ends. I did not expect to visit a city so beautiful and full of history. I will definitely return.

Efficient way to travel from Ravenna port to Venice. Our driver met us at the cruise terminal and took us directly to the water taxi pick up location, where our water taxi was already expecting us. We had a nice boat ride directly to our hotel pier. Fantastic service and a stress-free way to get to Venice from Ravenna.

So much more to learn about the UNESCO mosaics than I had ever imagined. The interpretation, of those in Ravenna, is so fascinating and accurate, according to the gospels. Beautiful works of art from so many centuries ago. Rita, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and shared all of this information and answered any questions we had. She was an excellent tour guide and delightful to spend time with. I highly recommend!
