Discover the volcanic and coastal landscapes of Pico Island on a half-day nature experience. Begin with a short walk through the vineyards of Criação Velha, a UNESCO World Heritage site, surrounded by the iconic basalt walls that shape one of the island's most remarkable landscapes. The journey continues with an accessible hike for beginners to Pé do Monte, an extinct volcanic mountain offering stunning views over Pico Mountain, Faial Island, and the surrounding vineyards and forests. Along the way, explore the historic Pocinho Bay, once an important coastal port, and visit the ruins of Aldeia do Mingato, one of the first settlements in this part of the island. Meeting at the "Mountain House", if you do not want "transfer included", it is time to check if we all have the proper equipment, protection, food, water and of course, the camera. Our guide will accompany you along a trail, much of it in very irregular volcanic rock, which will require some effort and care. . Reaching the summit, the effort is rewarded by breathtaking, breathtaking landscapes. First the crater, then the last stage: the Piquinho. This, with its 70 m high, will give more "fight" but inevitable to achieve the goal: 2351 m altitude, the highest point of the island of Pico, the Azores and Portugal. Sip on local wine as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the landscape. Enjoy a selection of artisan bread that pairs perfectly with your drink, all while soaking in the serene atmosphere. This exclusive experience is available from May to September, ensuring you capture the essence of the island's sunsets, weather permitting.

In this activity, travelers will discover the area of Monte, in the Madalena, through an easy pedestrian track, accessible and made entirely on foot. Along the way, you can enjoy stunning landscapes over the mountain, the sea, the vineyards and the surrounding nature of Pico Island. Afterwards, we head towards the Old Creation, crossing trails linked to the landscape of the vineyard, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the emblematic Old Creation Mill and continue to Lajido, by the sea, where you can observe the ancient relieves marked in the volcanic stone and learn a bit of local history. In this natural and quiet setting, a guided meditation of about 20 minutes will take place, in contact with the stone, the sea and nature. Finally, participants enjoy an outdoor picnic. Optionally, if the sea conditions allow, there may be time to take a bath in the area of Laja das Rosas.
