Top Palermo Day Trips

My husband and I had a wonderful day with Christian from Palermo. He gave us an informative & leisurely walking tour of Castelbuono and then on to Cefalu where we had free time to explore & have lunch. It was a great way to spend the day with a kind and friendly driver/tour guide.

This was by far one of our best days here in Palmero. Did the full day on the boat it was fabulous! The skipper and mate were so accommodating. Lunch was amazing…. And the views were to die for. I loved laying out on the front of the boat and taking in the views. I highly recommend….

Beautiful and well-organized tour in perfect weather. Palermo is fascinating, Monreale with its cathedral and impressive mosaics was the emotional highlight, and Mondello offered a pleasant break with the sea and a magnificent view. The guide was friendly, competent, and took very good care of the group and the schedule. A great way to discover some of the most beautiful places around Palermo in one day. Absolutely recommended!

Giovannie is a very likable host. He made this experience feel like a family event. Working under his direction was like being in the kitchen with your chef brother. Creating and chating like you would at the family table. The best meal comes from the preparation. So much great food was enjoyed on Giovannie and Robeorta's roof top terrace. Gazzie Melli Giovannie for shareing so much about your family history and your knowledge of Sicily. We won't forget you or this evening.

We did the CruiserCar tour through Palermo today and were thrilled. Our driver and his co-pilot were incredibly friendly, spoke very good English, and told us a lot about the various sights during the ride. The four of us sat comfortably in the back of the extraordinary CruiserCar and were well provided with chilled drinks, prosecco, beer, soft drinks, and snacks. Because of the traffic, the tour even lasted about 30 minutes longer – completely uncomplicated and at no extra charge. A truly special and unique way to get to know Palermo. Absolute recommendation!

Valerie was a fantastic tour leader. Her passion and knowledge of the history of Palermo was incredible. She knows everyone in the market. It was a very hot day and Valerie was very considerate of how the group was coping with the heat. I highly recommend the tour and Towns of Italy. I have taken many tours with them in other cities.

Giuseppe was a great driver. He took time to explain the sights to us and shared a lot about Sicilian culture. Anna, our tour guide at the temples, was incredibly knowledgeable and allowed us the time we needed to take a lot of pictures. She also happily took our picture in great spots with the temples in the background.

Our tour through Cefalù and Caccamo was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Both towns were breathtaking in completely different ways — Cefalù with its coastal beauty and charm, and Caccamo with its deep history, quiet magic, and incredible views. What made the experience especially meaningful was our guide, Tatiana!! She was incredibly insightful and deeply knowledgeable about Sicilian history, culture, and local traditions. Her warmth and upbeat energy immediately made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and connected to the places we were visiting. She brought every street, castle, and story to life in such a magical way. For our family, visiting Caccamo was especially emotional and memorable because it is the town our ancestors (Ciaccio’s of Los Angeles) immigrated from. Seeing the homes and hearing its history felt deeply personal, and Tatiana understood the significance of that connection. She helped turn what could have been just a sightseeing tour into a meaningful family experience we will never forget ❤️. We left feeling inspired, connected to our roots, and even more in love with Sicily. Highly recommend this tour and especially Tatiana to anyone wanting a heartfelt and fun experience!
