Great place to visit for a few hours
We took the bus here to visit this museum. It was very cool to experience the ship. Great place to visit for a few hours however the weather was beautiful outside so we rushed it a bit. We walked over to Stave church afterwards (about 20 mins). It was a perfect day!

Loved seeing the Fram and Gjoa exhibits.
Very exciting to see and do the tour of the Fram and to learn more about Norway’s explorers. We especially loved taking the ferry over, then walking to the Folk Museum. Lots of walking but well worth it!

Not to be missed museum in Oslo
Fascinating museum. The ship, Fram, which carried explorer Roald Amundsen and crew to the South Pole, is there in all its glory. The museum is build in a triangle form so that the top of the mast can be included in the museum. Visitors can walk all over the ship, talking a tour of the deck, crews' quarters, kitchen, boiler room and dining table, all laid out. Photographs and placards describing the expedition, as well as videos, are there too. Free lockers provide a place for coats.

Recomend, hands down GOOD
We truly enjoyed this particular exhibit. The only possible negative point I can give it is a fact that there was a lot of people from the cruise ships so it was a bit crowded to get around. It is interesting to know that there is a water taxi that will take you from the main area of oslo to this museum instead of having to take a taxi as we did. It
Is very well done.Everything is very well explained.I recommend people to go with particular idea that they want to look into instead of just spending hours reading all of the panels on the wall. My husband was interested in the boat and the expedition part of it.I wanted to hear and see about the animals and the people they encountered. If you just wonder in it might take you 3 hours to read everything.Because it's so intense and well explained. There is much to entertain, and also, it is very fun for the kids !

Great Museum
Great museum, well worth a visit and buying on Viator is the same price as in-person so saved a little time.

Framtastic
If you are interested in the Polar regions this museum is the tour for you. The sight of the "Fram" in a building is mind blowing and to think of all the expeditions it did and survived.

Great museum. The actual...
Great museum. The actual ship was there and you got to walk all through it. Also wonderful stories of amazing men. Don’t miss the “cold” walk thru tunnel and the new, fun movie in the basement. Very cool.

Worth doing
Very informative exhibition. Being to walk over the Fram and see the conditions the men endured was enlightening. Enjoyed visit.

Great immersive experience
Very interesting and immersive experience. We loved it to move around the ship, see the rooms and the objects of the crew and how was their routine in there. The history of the explorers, outside of the boat, was also worth it.

Worth the trip !
The exhibits are fantastic! We spent 2 hours reading the wall pieces and maps , learong about diffilerent pieces or routes before even boarding the ship. Then we don't over an hour on board exploring. What a great time !

Time well spent
Very nice exhibit and very informative displays throughout. I spent about 2 hours just reading and going through the museum’s displays and going aboard the ship itself. Very well laid out. I arrived just as the museum opened which is nice to get through the exhibits and get photos which I prefer. Time well spent if ever in Oslo.
