Great place to visit for a few hours
We took the bus here to visit this museum. It was very cool to experience the ship. Great place to visit for a few hours however the weather was beautiful outside so we rushed it a bit. We walked over to Stave church afterwards (about 20 mins). It was a perfect day!

Loved seeing the Fram and Gjoa exhibits.
Very exciting to see and do the tour of the Fram and to learn more about Norway’s explorers. We especially loved taking the ferry over, then walking to the Folk Museum. Lots of walking but well worth it!

Not to be missed museum in Oslo
Fascinating museum. The ship, Fram, which carried explorer Roald Amundsen and crew to the South Pole, is there in all its glory. The museum is build in a triangle form so that the top of the mast can be included in the museum. Visitors can walk all over the ship, talking a tour of the deck, crews' quarters, kitchen, boiler room and dining table, all laid out. Photographs and placards describing the expedition, as well as videos, are there too. Free lockers provide a place for coats.
