Penguins, Pisco, and Dune Surfing Oh My
My wife and I had a wonderful time on this full day tour out of Lima. We loved the spotting penguins, red shrimp, and sea lion pups on our boat ride in Paracas. Nietto vineyards was a wonderful lunch break comprised of good food and excellent pisco tastings. Our favorite part of the day was the dune bugging, sand boarding, and watching the sunset set in the sand dunes of Huacachina. Shout out to our tour guide Luis for being a rockstar

Franklin was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful.
Huacachina sand boarding was definitely the highlight!! So fun!!
Las Ballastas islands boat tour was underwhelming and the vineyard was run down. But good way to break up the day. Lunch at the vineyard was good.
I would have rather gone straight to Huacachina, sand boarded and dune buggy ride, then lunch, and then ride and board again. Didn’t see that offered.

Lima food tour
The tour was food oriented but also incorporated a tour of the area with a history lesson as well. Each stop was educational and delicious. The tour was well organized and each stop was waiting for us. The food was plentifully. We went hungry and left filled. We thought it was a pricey tour when we booked it but it proved to be a value based on the number of stops and amount of food. Highly recommended.

Worth the long drive
We had a great day with the tour. The drive to Caral is long, taking about 3-4 hours each way, but the trip is worth it. The ruins have very few visitors. It’a a hidden gem in the desert that is rich in history. Our tour guide Johanna was wonderful. We never heard of Caral prior to booking this tour, but we are so glad we decided to go!

A fun and fulfilling day!
An all day event that will surely tire you out! Be prepared for a long journey in the bus. There are stops along the way, but we started at 5AM and ended at 10PM.
If you book this event, I would recommend making sure you get a good sleep the night before and you are not doing anything too hectic the next day because it does take a lot out of you. The places we visited were pretty incredible! It really felt like each area was its own separate unit or island. There isn’t really much time during your stops to “shop” around so don’t expect to be able to purchase souvenirs at this time! They run a pretty strict schedule! Alvaro, our guide, was friendly and very clear with instructions.
I would recommend this trip as it was lots of fun!
If you get sea sick/motion sick, bring Dramamine!
The ATV riding is very intense, tread carefully if it’s not typically your cup of tea. Wear sunscreen and a hat! Bring a bandana to cover your face and shades to protect your eyes from the sand.

Where to start?
Where to start?
My partner and I booked a trip with Carlos to visit Marcahusi. What was planned to be a "slower" day turned out to be one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Peru that included Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mtn, the Amazon, and all the other "greatest hits".
Carlos is an exceptional guide. Both of us are extensive travelers/hikers and this was a one-of-a-kind excursion, with a beautiful drive, excellent hike, unique view into Peruvian life, and as a bonus, great company. It's clear that Carlos has put a great deal of effort into curating a memorable experience for his guests.
So, if you enjoy nature, adventure, and culture, do yourself a favor and book this trip.
Muchas gracias Carlos!

See the best of Lima in a day!
Absolutely fabulous day trip around Lima. Alex was very professional, a great host and so knowledgeable. We landed at a Sunday Market where we sampled several nati e fruits. Walked around the more "Bohemian" neighborhood of Barranco and beach-side fishing market of Chorrillos and then into Dowtown. We had a lovely Peruvian lunch and finished the day shopping and touring the San Francisco convent and catacombs. It was awesome!

Ran very smoothl and on time. Breakfast was good and plenty of choices ready when we got there. Boat ride was long and be sure to carry a rain jacket as you will get a little wet and is chilly. Lunch was great at a beautiful estate with horse show. Jeep ride and sand boarding were a great experience with picnic and sunset.

Book this tour! It was such a great experience. They take you out on the boat (which is nice) and swimming with the sea lions is a moment I’ll never forget! The guide is in the water with you as well to help you get close to the sea lions and make it a fun experience for you. I do recommend taking meds if you get sea sick easily, because the water is a bit choppy on the ride there. I also recommend to bring a towel bc they don’t provide one for you. Also you don’t have to get into the water if you don’t want, not everyone did.

Long day & 14hrs of driving but oh so worth it! Our 30 mins flight over the lines was well explained by our guide & we were also given an aerial map of where the main designs were so it was easy to follow. And we also made a stop to see some of the Palpa lines, which are visible from the road. Huacachina oasis was also incredible & the buggy ride over sand dunes a lot of fun, with a stunning sunset to wrap it all up! 3.40am start, 7hrs driving (one way) & an 11pm return was definitely worth it!!!

Exceptional
This was truly a great experience worth every dollar. Seeing the sea lions was a nice touch. What really made this trip the experience was writing the doom buggies, and the desert and boarding down the hill. To top it off we ended the trip with the beautiful sunset in the middle of the desert

Great Way to Visit Lima
We enjoyed our tour to Lima, which included a one and a half hour walking tour of the historical center. Our tour guide was amazing and helped us navigate a very busy historical centre given it was a national holiday. There was so much more to see than I had imagined. Lima’s historic centre is quite grand with most of it accessible on a pedestrian path. It was New Year’s Day, and everyone was out celebrating. I think we would’ve been lost without a guide. The bus to and from the historic centre was comfortable, although some conflict arose about seat switching, which had nothing to do with the tour company, but some very arrogant tourists on board became extremely aggressive and antagonizing to all the Latino tourists on the bus. My children and I were quite shocked and everybody was very uncomfortable with their aggression. This is not reflection on the company. We were on the upper deck and the guides were on the main deck.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Lima’s central location in Peru makes it the ideal base for exploring the surrounding landscapes, comprising rugged coastlines, desert dunes, and snow-capped peaks. Lima day trips save you hours of planning by taking care of tickets, tours, and transport, so you can sit back and soak up the scenery rather than navigating public transport and struggling with a different language. Within day-tripping distance of the capital, you’ll find mystical stone forests, an acid-green desert oasis, and Pacific Ocean islands inhabited by sea lions.
