What are people saying about Budapest

Nice tour
We met our guide George in front of the market, learned about the history of the market, Buda & Pest, and tasted a wide variety of Hungarian foods… pickles, streusel, wines, goulash, chimney cake, lángos. We arrived hungry and left full. I recommend this tour if you’re visiting Budapest. It was fun walking around this vibrant city.

Best way to get to know the city
There were 6 of us in the group, from 3 different countries. Peter was our guide, a native who speaks perfect English. We had a great time not only tasting different Hungarian food that we had never tried before, but even better time bonding, learning a few Hungarian words and some Hungarian history from Peter. We also got to share and exchange stories and travel experiences. Peter was a great host, personable, fun, and so easy to talk to. We enjoyed our time walking through different neighborhoods, from the Jewish quarters to the Opera House and back to the cool area with many bars with arcade games. All the food, wine and beer choices were excellent, for those who didn’t want alcohol, we were offered the best tasting lemonade (with orange and lime and strawberries), so good! We thought we were hungry, and I tried real hard to pace myself and not finish what was offered. But by stop #3, I was completely full. Stop #4 was dessert which I could never resist. It was a lot of good food for one afternoon. Highly recommend this food tour!

Walking Tour with food
Tour guide was excellent. We had 9 people in our group plus 2 others from another group and she managed everything very well. Making sure the pace of speed was comfortable for everyone for example… The one thing I suggest explaining with a little more detail is the order of sweet and salty foods… being from another culture, knowing that, would have helped us get there better prepared.

Good food and guide!
Birdie was a wonderful guide and I thought the tour was a good overview of Hungarian cuisine. I would probably give the tour 4.5 stars - the group was larger than advertised (there was a scheduling mixup) and I wish the chimney cakes had been hot. Definitely a great activity to do at the beginning of your trip to Budapest.
