Yes, you meet at KFC. It goes uphill from there. Small pintxos and a lively group made for a fun time! Olaia was a charming guide. You will not be able to resist the Basque food and wine, including some Michelin-recommended stops. We loved this tour and cannot recommend it highly enough!

I was picked up at my hotel and pleasanty greeted by Asier. Charming and approachable. He announced that we would be driving near the town of "Abalos" on the way to La Riajo. That gesture made me feel really special and grateful. It was a beautiful day driving through La Riajo and we visited two (2) excellent Bodegas. Asier is very knowledgeable, professional and definitely easy to communicate with. He talked about the wine region that we were visiting in extent. We had lunch at a beautiful restaurant in Laguardia "Biazteri" and the food was outstanding and delicious. I would definitely visit this region of Spain in the near future and hopefully have Asier as my guide.

This was a great night, it is only a short experience, not a tour but a brilliant experience all the same. We had a wonderful host that wowed us with her knowledge and talent with wine and food. This consisted of some cheese and cured meats. It was not quantity here but quality, they were selected with 5 wines, 3 white and two red, all from the local area. The disappointing part was that there wasn’t enough people to witness how good this was. The wine were of high quality and we went through a journey which tested our senses, sight, taste and smell, we all gained knowledge of what made the wines so well balanced and structured. The other couple who came were equally pleased with the evening. All this took place in a private room at the back of the restaurant/bar so after we went into the bar and sat at a table, I ordered more wine accompanied with croquettes and a hummus dip that was so smooth and delicious. They had layered the top with various spices. It was a brilliant night and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely brilliant tour hosted by Kaya. It was like meeting up with an old friend you have not seen in ages except this friend spent more than three hours introducing us to the history, culture, food and drink of the Basque Country - an epicurean delight. Kaya was an engaging, knowledgeable and voluble spokesperson for the Euskadi cultural traditions, celebrated cuisine and language and is a deserving recipient of any and all plaudits she might receive - Eskerrik Asko!

My daughter and I enjoyed the day trip from Bilbao! The landscape was beautiful and the architecture of the Marqués de Riscal hotel and Ysios winery were incredible. Great wine from all three vineyards! Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about wine and the area. Highly recommend!

Very interesting visit to La Rioja and a local winery. Also visited another village, La Guardia, and Vitoria-Gasteiz. Tour guide was helpful and provided good information, drive was interesting and so were the places visited. A good day tour from Bilbao.

Nuria was a delight. Very knowledgeable and accommodating, especially with my mom who has some mobility issues. Very personable and made sure to cater to what we wanted to see and do. So lucky to have gotten her as a tour guide. She even helped us find the best way to the meeting spot with very clear and helpful instructions. She really helped us to get to know Bilbao and the culture of the Basque Country. Her enthusiasm and love for the country shows through and her kindness and affinity for people as well. Ask for Nuria, she’ll show you the best places to eat and all the secrets that most tourists will miss.

This was a great way to get a nice introduction to the old city. Samuel was very knowledgeable and informative. I appreciate that he also showed some of the little details that made the city more interesting. I was glad it was limited to a small group and I would definitely recommend this tour to first time visitors.
