What are people saying about San Sebastian

Alby was an excellent...
Alby was an excellent guide. The moderate hike was not at all as described. It was difficult. Given the heat, the steep grades and uneven ground, it was hard for us. Lunch was excellent and the time at the Guggenheim and in Bilbao was appropriate. Would do again. Time well spent.

Fabulous tour!
My advice is to do this tour as soon as you can after arriving in San Sebastián! It was a fabulous insight into the area, Basque culture and language.
My sister (a slightly nervous rider) and I thoroughly enjoyed the ebike tour with Jake - the riding was on dedicated bike lanes so we felt safe, we were offered helmets (mandatory to ride in Australia with helmets), we were given clear instructions and kept up to date time wise.
Jake was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge to share and he did it in an entertaining way which kept the group engaged throughout. He also managed to keep it together with several languages catered for despite the tour being advertised in English.
One of the best tours we’ve done on our trip so far and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Great tour with Iri
Such a wonderful day with Iri, our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable because she was a local! Her selection of restaurants was great and everything was delicious. She shared with us so much information about the area and history! Highly recommend this tour!!

This was a fun tour...
This was a fun tour getting to go more to the outer edges of the main city when you don’t have a car available on a holiday. The guide was very knowledgeable about the city since this is near her home town. She made stops to explain history of the city and allowed for photo opportunities. Very enjoyable.

Great sunset cruise! Our...
Great sunset cruise! Our original trip had to be postponed due to high seas but it was effortless to transfer to another night. There was an informative but not intrusive audio tour, complete with evocative Basque music. Scenery was fabulous and we also encountered a dolphin pod! The evening ends with a stop in the San Sebastián harbor to watch the sunset and enjoy some cava. Staff were friendly and organized. Highly recommend.

Exceptional must do food tour
We try and do a food tour in every city but this one has excelled ! So easy to be confused as to where to hit first without a guide so this tour was excellent. Andre effortlessly guided us to 5 bars reserved tables for pintxos and matched with cider and exceptional local Basque wines . We almost had a private tour as only one other couple so fabulous to chat. Each pintxos has a history and were thoughtfully prepared to highlight the product - local cheese / ham / octopus/ fish/ anchovies , we had the best of it all. Andrea explained each region and their specialty so we learnt so much !! Thanks ao much Andrea we loved the tour and the company as well !

Best meal in San Sebastian!
Wonderful experience ! Carlos showed and explained us many interesting things in the market as well during the cooking class giving helpful advices how to cook this and that, how to identify fresh fish etc. Very pleasant atmosphere and, above all, an excellent meal as result! Highly recommended!

Ask for Gonzalo!!!
Gonzalo was hands down the best tour guide we’ve ever had. The group was small, which allowed us to move around and occupy space comfortably. He had a sense of humor and kept us engaged and laughing. He adapted the food choices even when I wasn’t expecting him to, going the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying their time. He also provided additional recommendations after the tour for us to explore the city more on our own. He truly cares about the guests he is working with and wants to create an experience everyone will remember. If he wasn’t taking a day off tomorrow we would book another to explore more! The group had so much fun, we continued hanging out afterwards!

Fab intro to the food and culture around eating!
We had a great experience in three restaurants. We ate and drank local specialties. Everything was delicious and bountiful--we were beyond full! Our guide was super helpful with local language, traditions, and even gave us local recommendations on how to avoid tourist traps. 10/10 recommend

Flexible and fun little taste of France!
Javier conducted a wonderful tour. He provided interesting insights and history about Biarritz and Bayonne. He was very flexible with what we wanted to do and helped us navigate to the shops and things we wanted to see most! I really appreciated his promptness, insights and flexibility. The trip is just enough to get a little taste of France!

Interesting Tour of three Towns
A wonderful way to see and learn about the rich history of these three towns near the French border. Gilles provides a substantial amount of history and present day insight into everything we saw during this excellent tour. We are very glad to have had the experience. Even the short boat ride across the river was memorable. It was also good that we had a bit of time to ourselves as well where we could enjoy a little something at a local bar. Gilles was also very good about a smooth drive up and down the mountain switchbacks. It was an enjoyable morning.

Our Rioja wine tasting...
Our Rioja wine tasting tour with Alby and Diego was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. From the start, both guides made us feel completely at ease—like we were spending the day with friends or family rather than on a tour. That warmth and hospitality set the tone for an experience that was not only educational but also deeply personal and fun.
Alby’s knowledge of Rioja is extraordinary. He shared the history of the region, explained the nuances of the grape varieties and terroir, and connected it all to the culture and people of Rioja in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. His passion is infectious, and it made every stop feel meaningful.
Diego, though new and in training, was equally impressive. His energy, fresh perspective, and thoughtful contributions made the experience richer. Watching the dynamic between the two of them was a joy—they clearly enjoy what they do, and it showed in every detail.
The wineries chosen were excellent and gave us a chance to see the diversity of Rioja—from traditional family-run producers to more modern approaches. Tasting outstanding wines against the backdrop of rolling vineyards was magical, but what made it truly special was the way Alby and Diego tied each glass to the broader story of the region. It never felt like “just another tasting”; instead, it felt like we were connecting with the essence of Rioja.
What stood out most, however, was how comfortable and cared for we felt. The personal attention, thoughtful pacing, and genuine interest in making the day enjoyable made this tour unforgettable. By the end, we felt like we had not only discovered Rioja’s wines but also gained two new friends.
If you are considering a wine tour from San Sebastián, this is the one. Exceptional knowledge, outstanding wines, and above all, a truly warm and welcoming experience. Highly recommended!
